Does what it says on the tin

Holds 5 electrics nicely. Once glance will tell you an acoustic will take up 2 spaces. I've had mine for 5 years, no problems. I don't recommend you gig with it, it's not sturdy enough to be banged around on a regular basis and it doesn't fold up small enough. Perfect for home/studio.

Sturdy, very compact, does the trick.

    Adequate, with some work

First thing to do after getting this stand is go to Home Depot and pick up a bolt and nut where the washer has a soft plastic bushing attached that locks the nut in place (a double nut w/lockwasher woudl also work). I lost a few nuts before doing this.
As others have said, if you've got acoustics, you won't get 5 guitars on this stand and you will need to arrange them well to even get 4 (2 electrics, 2 acoustics)) on it. The lower foam-covered bars are not in the best place - there is a reason that these stands and their even-cheaper clones are this inexpensive.

    Not So Good

Poor quality construction for the money. Holds 5 electric guitars OK but you can't put acoustics side by side very well. I'll try to make do with it but I wish I hadn't bought it.

    Poorly built

I am not happy with the construction of this guitar stand. The screws that hold it together strip out too easily. After it is assembled, it feels flimsy. Nice idea, but for the price, I think it should be build sturdier. A few extra dollars of manufacturing cost would make this a great stand.

They've changed the design for the worse

These stands used to be much better designed. But the 5x stand I just bought is different from the older ones, and is barely usable. The spacing between the two lower bars used to be 8". Now it is only 6". This results in the strap button hitting the front bar in a way that prevents the guitar neck from resting on the tree. Instead it floats in mid air. Pretty useless. I ended up making a modification to the stand to compensate, and it is now "OK", but this shouldn't have been needed. In my opinion, you would do best to away from this product.

BTW, the photo shows the old, better design and construction, but the stand I received doesn't match that photo.

    Do Not Purchase

This stand is terrible. I took the bottom feet off three times and reconnected them and the stand still wobbles. The pre-drilled holes in the top of the arms are too small. For something so simple it was insanely frustrating to put together. Poor quality.
