Flexible, High-quality Attenuation

Little Labs' Jonathan Little worked as a tech guru at some of LA's top studios, and he quickly found out what gear pro engineers require. In many cases, such equipment did not exist, so Jonathan designed it from scratch. Little Labs now specializes in creating unique and useful tools for the pro audio engineer. One such tool is the Redcloud 8810U8ERS balanced attenuator pack, created for recording engineer Don Smith, aka Redcloud (Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Stevie Nicks), who preferred to run his mic pres hot and needed a simple, flexible way to attenuate the post-preamp signal. Take it from Sweetwater, with its eight rotary attenuators and four on-off switches on the front panel and two DB-25 connectors on the back, the Redcloud is ideal for any job that needs a stereo or mono rotary attenuator.

Little Labs Redcloud 8810U8ERS Features at a Glance:
  • Eight rotary attenuators; four on-off switches
  • DB-25 standard analog I/O
  • Stereo or mono selectable
  • Tracks left to right accurately
  • Passive 5k ohm impedance
  • Stepped volume controls
  • Perfect for post-preamp attenuation
  • Ideal for pre-DAW attenuation
  • Four Redclouds will give you up to 32 faders in a 1U rack space

I use an API 3124+ and the gain was through the roof. I spoke to another engineer that told me about the redcloud, It is a passive non coloring attenuator with stereo linking that does it's job perfectly. I use it to attenuate several Preamp now and the DB25 connectors make for a clean install into my 9625 patchbay.
