A Classic Metal Axe with Modern Metal Tone!

The Jackson RRTMG Pro Series Rhoads solidbody electric guitar continues the metal legacy set down by Jackson shortly after Randy Rhoads's death in 1982. Metal has come a long way since the days of Ozzy Osbourne, and today's metal calls for a hotter, more aggressive tone than ever before. With modern innovations such as a compound-radius neck and EMG active pickups, the RRTMG combines traditional Jackson style with modern performance features. If killer looks and classic style aren't enough, then Sweetwater's got the guitar for you: the Jackson RRTMG Pro Series Rhoads.

Jackson RRTMG Pro Series Rhoads Solidbody Electric Guitar at a Glance:
  • Compound-radius is perfect for both riffing and soloing
  • Active EMG humbuckers take your tone into the heart of metal territory
  • Through-body maple neck plus strings-thru-body tailpiece delivers epic sustain
Compound-radius is perfect for both riffing and soloing

The Jackson RRTMG Pro Series Rhoads sports a compound-radius rosewood fingerboard with jumbo frets. Down low, your fretting hand will appreciate the 12" radius thet keeps things nice and confortable for natural, relaxed chord work. Up top, a 16" radius lays it all out flat for effortless, low-action high-speed runs with monumental string bends without fretting out. The best of both worlds.

Active EMG humbuckers take your tone into the heart of metal territory

Easily the most popular pickup combination in modern metal history, the set of EMGs Jackson gave this RRTMG Pro Series Rhoads is the perfect recipe for serious shredding tone. An EMG 85 at the neck lets you go effortlessly between glassy cleans to liquid smooth leads, whereas the EMG 81 at the bridge is prefect for bringing out the crunch in your amp and dropping heavy riffs. Together, these pickups make the RRTMG a Rhoads worthy of any modern metal guitarist.

Through-body maple neck plus strings-through-body tailpiece delivers epic sustain

From headstock to strap button, the Jackson RRTMG Pro Series Rhoads is set up for truly phenomenal sustain. First, there's the through-body maple neck, whose extreme hardness keeps your strings humming intensely with every note. To provide even better transfer between the strings and the body, Jackson used a strings-through-body TonePros tailpiece design. The result is sustain that seems to last forever!

Jackson RRTMG Pro Series Rhoads Solidbody Electric Guitar Features:
  • A killer Randy Rhoads Jackson guitar made for modern metal players
  • Graphite reinforced 3-piece maple neck-though design with string-through-body TonePros tailpiece provides phenomenal sustain
  • Alder body adds extra resonance and midrange to your sound
  • Active EMG humbuckers (EMG 81 at the bridge, EMG 85 at the neck) deliver quintessential metal tone
  • Compound-radius fretboard makes chord work and soloing
Rock out like a metal god with your Jackson RRTMG Pro Series Rhoads solidbody electric guitar!

My new daily driver

I love my Rhoads pro. I've had it for about 6 months now and its my favorite guitar to play. (and I have way more expensive guitars) I got it for $800 even from Sweetwater. IT HAS AN EMG 89 IN THE NECK NOT AN 85. the 89 is a 85 that has the coil split capability so BOUNUS!!!! All the hardware is high end. The back of the necks oil finish is awesome to say the least. I had gotten two of these from ams and they were all messed up but the one from Sweetwater was almost perfect there was a small blemish on the binding on the fret board by the neck p.u. but it was microscopic otherwise 5.0 rating I installed planet waves locking tuners they fit perfect in the factory holes witch made string change and tuning a little easier but that's just my preference the Jackson ones were fine as well. this is the most balanced guitar for shredding sits perfect. the ebony and alder tone is like midway between basswood and mahogany and harmonics jump off at u in a good way. it screams for metal, also cleans up beautifully with a great full tone . I can get just about any tone out of this one guitar its a really versatile axe. also sounds great drop tuned
