Your fingers will fly on this super-fast Nitro Wizard-7 neck

One of Ibanez's fastest necks to date, the Nitro Wizard-7 neck on the RGIT27FE Iron Label is an absolute pleasure to play. This slim and super-comfortable neck lets you pull off lighting-fast runs and arpeggios with ease, but it still gives you the substance you need for fretting chords. Plus, with its neck-through construction, the RGIT27FE delivers epic sustain. From the first time you wrap your hand around the RGIT27FE's Nitro Wizard-7 neck, you'll know you have a guitar that was built with performance in mind.

RG playability with fixed-bridge stability

While you may expect to see a vibrato tailpiece on an Ibanez RG, the RGIT27FE Iron Label sports a Gibraltar Standard II-7 fixed bridge - a dream come true if you prefer a hardtail axe. Sweetwater guitarists love the Gibraltar Standard II-7's extreme low profile, which offers the comfort of a traditional RG floating trem, with the exceptional stability and reliability you can only get from a fixed bridge. If you've always wanted an RG-series guitar but prefer not to mess with a floating bridge, the RGIT27FE was made just for you.

Active EMGs onboard for serious tone

The Ibanez RGIT27FE Iron Label is fitted with a pair of hot EMG 707 active humbuckers in the neck and bridge positions. There's a reason top metal guitarists use active pickups: they rock. Hard. Stirred with a 5-way blade and poured through volume and tone pots, this heady brew is a veritable tonefest that gives you everything from chimey cleans to searing hot shred - and all points in between.

Ibanez RGIT27FE 7-string Solidbody Electric Guitar Features at a Glance:
  • Comfortable, resonant ash wings
  • 7-piece maple/walnut Nitro Wizard-7 neck-through delivers epic sustain
  • Bound rosewood fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets plays fast and smooth
  • EMG 707 pickups deliver tried-and-true metal tones
  • Master volume, tone, and 5-way blade
  • Killswitch lets you create cool stutter effects
  • Gibraltar Standard II-7 fixed bridge provides rock-solid tuning and intonation
Go forth and shred, with the Ibanez RGIT27FE Iron Label!

Perfect

Just wanted to say thank you guys, delivery and was flawless and a special shout out to Matt for checking in to make sure everything was ok! The guitar is awesome, great intonation straight out of the box, killer tone and the pictures can't do the finish justice. Body work and neck cutaway are very well done and all everything just oozes quality, really great value for around the $1000 mark. Thank you Ibanez and Sweetwater!

ibanez rgit27fe tgf

after considering this, and a few other 7 string ibanez guitars, the deciding factor for me was the neck thru design.,this guitar came set up with 10-56 guage strings, and i changed them out to 9-54., after a few quick adjustments to the setup, i had this guitar playing just the way i wanted it. this guitars construction is great, the neck is thin, but still has substance to it, the finish is unique, in that you can see and feel the wood grain under the thin layer of flat black paint, i feel this lets the body vibrate more, as opposed to a thick paint and clear coat. i also think this finish will age nicely. the locking tuners make string changes quick and easy. as for the sound, i like the emg pickups, i know some players prefer passive pickups., but all i had to do was adjust my amp settings, and make a few new patches in my processor, and my sound is right there. also, the kill switch is great, this guitar, after i set it up the way i like it, is a great playing, great sounding guitar. capable of nice cleans, all the way up to the most saturated metal distortion, this guitar can do it all.
