    Amazing 7 String!

I have owned this guitar for about a month and have been spending most of my time playing only this. When I purchased it I was looking to save a little money to get a 7 string for my band until I could get a Jackson DK7-M (which I still plan on getting). I was unfamiliar with Ibanez and never really played them and with all honesty wasn't expecting much for the price of the guitar. But I was very pleased when I pulled this guy out of the box and started playing! The guitar feels great, the fixed bride is comfortable and the guitar holds tune well, the neck is out of this world it feels so great and the fret ends aren't sharp at all. I wasn't a fan of the 707's and while they sound good and work great with the guitar I will probably swap them out for the Seymour Duncan EMTY's. My sales engineer Ray Leach was amazing. When I asked him about it he told me exactly what to expect and it was great! I would suggest anyone who is looking for a 7 string to give this guy a try. You wont be disappointed! Cheers Ray and thank you for a wonderful suggestion for a great guitar!!!

    Metal

Nice guitar for my 1st seven string. I've read a lot of mixed reviews about these Iron Labels, but my guitar came set up almost perfect from Sweetwater. Only had to make a few minor adjustments when the guitar arrived, and my fret ends aren't sharp at all.

The stock EMG's sound good. I was already familiar with EMG's, so I knew what to expect. The neck is extremely fast and comfortable to play.

I custom ordered the guitar with thicker strings on it to play in drop G. I asked Sweetwater to put a set of Elixir 10-52's plus a .068 for the low B string. They set the guitar up and shipped it tuned to drop G, as requested. The .068 is a little too loose in drop G for my liking, but has been perfect in drop A/ Ab. I'll have to try some different strings to get the tension right for drop G.

I was extremely satisfied with Sweetwater's customer service, and would definitely buy from them again. Thanks again to Brian Rick for helping me out with the purchase.

    Iron Label Rules

My main reason for choosing this particular model was to be able to easily utilize drop or alternate tunings. This guitar handles this task with ease. It is possible to perform this with the Edge or Floyd Rose type bridge, but not quickly and not with ease.

The EMG active pickups are a perfect match for this guitar, providing unbelievable sustain when cranked as well as crystal clear tone with the volume rolled back.

The Nitro Wizard neck is lightning fast, with easy access to the upper register, just like all RGs. My one and only complaint is with the scale. The 25.5 scale is good, but I wish I had an extra inch to help stabilize the lower strings more, especially on drop tunings.

The kill switch is a very useful addition to this already awesome instrument. It has many uses if you think outside the box.

Bottom line, this guitar is well worth the money.

One last word: I would like to thank Chris Lewis and Sweetwater for helping me out throughout the years. Chris and company do provide an element of support that you will not find in any other pro music company.
