The Ibanez RG Premium 7-string Sweetwater Exclusive electric guitar's buckeye burl-topped American basswood body not only sports a distinguished appearance, but the tonewoods also combine to create a warm, growling sonic assault with incredible definition. This snarling tone is then taken into the stratosphere by a pair of harmonically alive DiMarzio IBZ-7 humbuckers. An incredibly comfortable 5-piece wenge/bubinga Wizard neck is topped with a fast-playing rosewood fingerboard with premium fret-edge treatment. An Edge-Zero II-7 tremolo bridge enables insane dive-bombing while maintaining your intonation. Cosmo black hardware and mother-of-pearl offset dot fingerboard inlays make the Ibanez RG Premium 7-string Sweetwater Exclusive an eye-catching electric guitar.

DiMarzio IBZ-7 humbuckers deliver killer high-output tone

The Ibanez RG Premium 7-string Sweetwater Exclusive's DiMarzio IBZ-7 humbuckers imbue it with harmonically alive character. The neck pickup is bright sounding, similar to a Super 2. The bridge pickup has characteristics of both the Steve Morse Bridge Model and Super Distortion, yielding a louder, warmer sound.

Fast, smooth, and strong Wizard neck, with premium fret-edge treatment

The 5-piece wenge/bubinga neck on the Ibanez RG Premium 7-string Sweetwater Exclusive has the Wizard neck profile, and it gives you effortless access to the entire fretboard. It's also stronger than single-piece necks, which means it will resist warping or twisting over the years. For even smoother playability, this axe has received Ibanez's premium fret-edge treatment. This essentially rounds off the edges of the frets, for an even more fluid playing experience.

Edge-Zero II-7 tremolo bridge gives you solid performance and stability

The Ibanez RG Premium 7-string Sweetwater Exclusive's Edge-Zero II-7 bridge with Zero Point System was designed by Ibanez to give you the fast tremolo response and snap you need to pull off sharp bends and flutters. The extreme stability of this knife-edge-style trem's stud lock function is also one of the many reasons it's a favorite among many of today's top shredders. If you're looking for a guitar that can stand up to long playing sessions without losing its tuning, you're going to love this Sweetwater exclusive!

RG927 Premium

This line of guitar was a Euro market limited run. I like the buckeye burl finish it is unique. what makes it really stand out is the total exposed wood grain through out the guitar. The craftmanship is amazing and it is a standard you can trust from Ibanez. The pick ups are DiMarzio and provide great tone, and paired with the Edge Zero floating trem system you can unleash it on any musical style you wish. When played throught the distortion channel of the amp. Turning down the volume knob cleans up the notes and it shows how good the eletronics are on the instrument, giving you total control of your playabity.

Good guitar with unique look and tone

Obviously, the look of this guitar sets it apart from its peers. It looks great, plays well, and the craftsmanship is good (but not flawless). It's *loud* (I don't mean that the pickups are very high output, just that the instrument itself is relatively loud when not plugged in). IMO, the tone also sets it apart, at least from other Ibanezes. It's fairly big on the bottom, and has a low-to-mid range warmth or growl that gives it a lot of character. Oddly, I found the bottom strings to be very clear/defined, while closer to the mid-range the tone was, well, I wouldn't go so far as to say "muddy" but maybe a little less crisp (I can imagine somebody who liked the sound describing it as "warm" instead). It's a sound that some players will likely prefer, but in the end it wasn't for me, and I ended up trading it in for a significantly more expensive guitar that was a better fit. If I had kept it I likely would have swapped out the pickups for something higher output and with more high-end clarity. Overall I'd say that this guitar is a good bang for your buck, and may well be a great fit for somebody who prefers a little more growl and warmth in their tone.
