Incredibly-fast Super Wizard HP neck

Ibanez put thin, speed-minded electric guitar necks on the map thanks to the effortless playability of their Wizard necks. The Prestige RG652FX takes that design to the next level with its Super Wizard HP neck. Execute lightning-fast runs, arpeggios, and hammer-ons with ease not afforded by other guitar necks. Capping the Super Wizard neck is a 24-fret rosewood fretboard, loaded with jumbo frets. And you're hand will fly over the frets comfortably because of the Prestige fret edge treatment.

Gibraltar Standard II bridge delivers sustain and rock-solid tuning

To give the Prestige RG652FX increased stability and sustain, Ibanez turned to their time-tested Gibraltar Standard II bridge. This simple fixed bridge design anchors solidly to the body, providing maximum string-to-string transfer. It also features a super-low profile and a smooth surface, making the RG652FX super-comfortable to play and giving your picking hand an optimal degree of clearance for speed picking techniques. The guitarists here at Sweetwater love this bridge, and we're confident that you will too.

Excellent Fit and Finish

I have had this guitar for about a week now and I must say, for $ Ibanez delivers an excellent guitar. It also comes with an extremely nice case. I have thoroughly looked over this guitar and can't find a single imperfection anywhere. The fit and finish are perfect. If you haven't played an Ibanez be warned that the neck is extra thin, paperthin. I actually like it but it took a few days to get used to it. There is nothing wrong with this guitar at all but there are a couple of things that made me give this 4 stars instead of 5. The main reason is the Pickups. They aren't bad, but just kind of generic. The neck pickup gives excellent cleans but the bridge leaves a little to be desired. There is nothing special about the tone zone. It's not weak at all but it's not really aggressive either. I have a Seymour Duncan JB in another guitar which I have wanted to change for awhile to something more modern and aggressive but compared to the Tone Zone, I much prefer the JB. The JB is thicker and has more bite than the Tone Zone and the JB is still far from my ideal tone. The final thing is purely cosmetic but I wish the neck was bound. I think a bound neck makes a guitar look much nicer and more expensive. No binding looks cheap. I would have rather paid a little extra for this guitar to get binding. Overall, I would highly recommend this guitar. With the quality of the guitar and the case I really don't think there is s better value in the market!
