Mind Blowing Guitar and Service

This was my first time ordering from Sweetwater but it will not be my last. First off, the guitar, its smooth as silk, looks beyond beautiful and the pictures dont do it justice (despite how professional the pictures are), the sound is phenomenal, you will not go wrong by purchasing this guitar. Now on to the service. Simply mind blowing, after I ordered the guitar Mike gave me a call to make sure all my info was correct and gave me a run down of everything. This company genuinely cares about its customers and its so refreshing to see that. All my Emails were responded to in a timely manner by Mike and I received my order slightly earlier than expected as well. Hands down the best service Ive had the pleasure of dealing with when it comes to a company and I wouldnt recommend anyone else to order from.

Kick ass guitar

Its been years since I have played guitar but just started playing again about 6months ago. I have bought 5 guitars in that time from many venders and you can bet this Ibanez is by far the best of the 5. I worked with (Phil Schwan) at Sweetwater to seal the deals, Phil took the time make sure everything was right, Even sending the quote with full pictures via email. Tracking the package was no problem it was on time, Phil sent it Fedex other place's use UPS but mine showed up on sat just in time to rock out for the weekend the guys at UPS wimp out on the weekends. I do not know Phil outside of Sweetwater but he is my go to guy now for all my stuff. A huge thank you to the whole Sweetwater Team.

Gotta love ibanez

I'll preface this with ,I'm still a pretty green beginner. Am three yrs into playing / learning, two with a teachers guidance on and off. In my infancy of playing I've yet to overcome my need/want to be perfect..... So all in all I'm only slightly better than a complete newbie.....that all being said , I've gotten to know quite a bit about a lot of these mid grade mass produced guitars. I've got no other real hobby so I've acquired quite a few of these $500 range guitars... Overall this guitar is right up there . The fit and finish is perfect , only slight manufacturing scuffs in slightest at screw points here and there. The hardware is as good if not better than any of my other mid range guitars. I'm still getting to know the bridge (edge zero-2) and it seems quite awesome....yet I must say its my first experience with a "Floyd type" bridge. The fine tuning is about as far as I've gotten and it is amazingly accurate, and hold tune excellently . Tuners are very fine and the locking nut being my first ,is a adjustment but worth it ..can't believe how well this guitar stays in tune, (it's amazing for a tremolo )..the neck is thin and smooth, fretwork is excellent. Neck finish feels as if there's no finish, almost can feel the grain. If I had to pick a negative , and I mean had to....I'd say the pickups are just ok. A little on the shallow side , not a lot of depth of tone . But that's being overly critical IMO as I'm no shredder..,yet. I've seen no issue to give pause in suggesting to anyone to buy this guitar as a whole. It is very versatile with the HSH pickups and the low ,thin and fast neck. Has a great tremolo and like I said stays in tune very well. If you did your research and your on the fence about this guitar , don't give it a second thought....just click buy! You won't be let down.

RG450DXB

This a great guitar for a lefty. This model is mahogany wood and most of these models are made of basswood. I like the sound, it has a bit of a richer, les paulish sound vs. the basswood, and it is light weight guitar. I replaced the stock pups, the stock pups are okay but, are lacking. Great finish, nice neck, and all in good working order. I did some minor bridge and neck adjustments to my personal preference. The tremolo comes with the dbl locking tremolo only. I prefer the edge zero which, is on other RG models in this price range. The tuning is more accurate after playing sessions with the edge zero tremolo. It would be 5 star guitar with the edge zero.Sweetwater is great. Delivery ahead of schedule. Mike A. is great to work with.
