Great Guitar

I bought this guitar a little over a year ago. The version I have came with the Infinity pickups...which I thought sucked. I ended up swapping them out with The Dimarzios that come in their prestige models...Tone Zone, True Velvet, and Air Norton....and it is now my favorite guitar. It stays in tune well...and that Ibanez neck is just killer. Glad I purchased..and always a pleasure buying from Sweetwater.

Economical and Great Shred Machine, but Bad Pickups

I own three different guitars of various price tags from the $400 to $1500 price range, but the version of this instrument I own (the RG350DXZ) is hands-down the best guitar I've ever played. I am blown away at the quality of this instrument for the asking price - Everything from the look to the feel of the instrument is top notch. The Wizard III neck is amazing and will have everyone from the first-time player to the professional musician feeling right at home. The Ibanez Edge Zero II bridge and ZPS tremolo system make for a fantastic Floyd Rose variant that always returns to initial position, even after the most extreme whammy abuse. Straight from the factory, the guitar DEFINITELY needs a good setup to play properly, but that becomes a non-issue if you get it from Sweetwater. The only bad things about the instrument are the Ibanez Infinity Series Pickups, which are incredibly mid-rangy, dry, and lack sustain. However, for the asking price, I really can't fault the guitar that much. I swapped mine for a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge, a Little '59 in the middle, and an SH-2 in the neck and the combination works perfectly for my style of playing. This instrument really is my go to guitar for any style of music, and I couldn’t be happier with it. If you are an aspiring player looking for a high quality guitar with a thinner neck that doesn’t compromise tone, look no further than right here, but definitely replace the pickups day one. For the money you end up spending (About $550 total depending on the pickups), you get an end product that easily competes with instruments triple its price. Happy rocking out!

Great Guitar, Pathetic Pickups

First off, I will say that I am a huge fan of Ibanez guitars. I own this guitar but the earlier version the RG350DX. Same animal except they upgraded to the Edge Zero. The 350 had the Edge 3. The main reason for this review is to point out just how bad the Ibanez INF pups are. Mid-rangy, hot and dead with no sustain. I upgraded mine to and EMG 60 in the neck an SA in the middle and an 81 in at the bridge position. I also had a 20db boost switch installed as well. Out of the box however, you will find that this is a very economical way to buy a shredding machine without the big expense. Very well balanced with a nice neck and body feel. Once you get it intonated it stays in tune like a rock (albeit climate changes etc it can get hinky like any floating trem guitar) My advice is to buy it and replace the pups on day one.

Poor Craftsmanship

Very Disappointed with the overall craftsmanship. Sloppy construction and zero attention to detail. I will be returning this one.
