Great Rock n' Roll Speakers
In some circles Peavey has a bad name, but this is because they make affordable gear that takes a beating and continues to work, so there are artists who have gear from the '70s that still puts out the dB to this day and it can't compare to today's standards.
That being said, a properly powered and processed (as EVERY PA should be) Peavey QW rig will surpass ANY loudspeaker system in it's price range. I own 2 QW2F's paired with 2 QW218's all driven by Crest CC and Peavey CS amps and processed by a Peavey VSX 26 DSP.
When this rig is properly powered and the room is flattened with EQ, this rig will belt some seriously smooth rock and roll tones. The subs go deep and the tops have an aggressive but articulate tone. I plan to double my rig in the future so that I can handle outdoor crowds of 800-1000. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and encourage you to put your ears on this system for yourself.
