So Far so good

Have made over 200 copies and not one bad one, I bought this unit instead of paying someone else to duplicate my Bands studio disc.I bought it a Sweetwater because of the 2 year warranty so far It's taking the abuse I'm giving it!

easy recording

Nothing could be easier. Load the master CD, put in a R or RW blank CD, wait for the unit to display "copy" and then execute. In about 5 minutes, for an hour recording, the copied CD is complete and the tray opens automatically.

Great little one to one multi- function recorder.

This Microboards is working great, I have an earlier model but only for CDs, now I needed one for DVDs and this does both with ease, the quality and engineering of the machine is done for the home user to quickly understand and use.Great machine

solid solution for audio CD duplication

I have only had the need to use this a few times since purchasing a few weeks ago, and only for CD duplication. But it worked great, was very easy to use, and seems well built and, hopefully, dependable. I am a musician and run my own small label for my music. Some of my back catalog is out of print, so duplicating those titles on demand for customers is why I got this unit. I had been doing that on a desktop computer with a cdr drive. But that bit the dust. Audio CD duplication software for a PC is no longer cheap or easy to find. (Dealing with the new Roxio company was a nightmare! And the trial version of NERO was slow and made a bum copy my first try.) Most new laptops have no CD/DVD drive at all, so looking forward, this unit can function as a disc drive for a laptop using a usb connection. I have not tried that as yet, but appreciate the future capability. As a duplicator, I have used it in "test and duplicate" mode, and also in straight duplicate without first testing mode. Both were easy to do. Took a little longer for the testing function, but it worked well. In either mode, once a duplicate is made, you can make additional copies by simply feeding the lower drawer. For my needs it is plenty fast, simply sits on a shelf on my desk, and doesn't tie up my computer, so it is a neat solution for me, as I can do other computer tasks while making copies. Where I live, in lower Michigan the free shipping from Fort Wayne is usually the next day, so shopping at Sweetwater for gear like this is a no-brainer, given the good prices, wide selection, and excellent service. I am giving it 4 stars, only reserving judgment on the fifth star until it has stood the test of time.

Easy enough for Volunteer Help

I bought this unit for my church, for duplicating CDs and DVDs of weekly services. The volunteers who do the duplication appreciate this unit's ease... put the master in the top, blank media in the bottom, and once the trays are closed, away it goes! They LOVE the fact that duplication no longer ties up their computer. I love the fact that I didn't have to train anybody to get duplication done at our church!
