well, i have owned a BLOFELD and loved the sound HATED THE BUGS.
    returned it.
a year later and i just took delivery on the PULSE 2.
for such a small desktop unit it feels like they added a BRICK to it. solid.
THE SOUND IS HARD TO BEAT. it punches through even the heaviest guitars. it really is a knockout.
pure analog juicy in your face goodness.
NOW with that said i gotta add that My Korg KING KORG gives it a serious run for its money. It appears Modelling has come that far and Korg got it RIGHT with the King Korg and its a shame to see it being overlooked. BUT THESE TWO UNITS TOGETHER cover just about any pure synth job you could throw at them. I highly recommend the Pulse...for the money its just a no brainer....but do yourself a favor and overlook the stupid King Korg name and try it too. you can pick one up here for a Great Price. i loved my Moog PHatty but i don't miss it!!!!

    Amazing mono synth!

This little synth is an absolute beast! Perfect for cutting leads and deep and dirty basses... complements the Blofeld perfectly!

Blows all other analogs out there away!

Yes, I still have my original Pulse+ analog synth, which actually pairs-up nicely with this beast! The original Pulse+ (only the Plus model) has various cv in/outs, which means with the Pulse 2's cv outs, I can drive *both* at the same time for 6 oscillator goodness!
The new Pulse 2 is incredibly rich in tone and character. Having now two analog filters with low pass/band pass/high pass, and massive modulation routing--makes my Mopho Keyboard now a great controller keyboard for this monster. What I also like is it retains that unmistakable 'Waldorf sound", while being so malleable that it's become my analog Swiss Army Knife. Built like a tank and has a programmable arp that's just shy of being full blown sequencer. No bugs to be found here. Buy one!

    Beast in a little box

I was skeptical after watching some demos on YouTube and decided to purchase this little beast. I was very impressed with the preset sounds that came with it. BAM! In your face. I was very happy to see some CV outputs so I can hook the Pulse 2 up to my other analog gear for some mixin's (moog, arturia, sequential circuits/dave smith). I used a Keith McMillen QuNexus to control it, and the pair was awesome. The Pulse 2's bass patches are super juicy. yum. get one.

    Instant Love

As an owner of the original pulse and several other vintage and modern analogs, this little guy sounds perfect to my ears. Ferocious and mean to pretty and dare I say elegant? Some may say its nothing like the original pulse-doesn't have the character, the weight, etc. but for bass lines, sequences, and synth drums, this will be my go to on many projects. With the updated features on the pulse two and it's ability to recreate the original's character and classic sounds. I have sold off my pulse from the 90's without the slightest of regret. Ymmv.
