Electronic Bass Drum in a Stomper

Turn your foot tapping into the sound of an electronic bass drum with the Logjam Prolog stomper. Logjam fine-tuned the shape and size of the Prolog's internal chamber to produce a big, bassy kick sound through its piezo pickup element. Just connect a 1/4" cable to an amplifier or PA system, and you're ready to accompany your playing with a powerful rhythmic accent. Musicians at Sweetwater like it for adding rhythmic interest to solo acoustic performances. The extended heel board even lets you play backbeats with your heel. Whether you're a singer/songwriter, solo keyboardist, or a percussionist, the Logjam Prolog is a great way to add some rhythm to your performance.

Easy to use. Worked well during a recent live performance. A great way to add percussion to your songs. I also like that is is made with sustainable materials.
Music background: part-time singer / songwriter

not the best choice

I hate to be negative about a person's product, but I could have used this review before I purchased a non-returnable demo. To get a deep sound from it, you'll have to put an equalizer in the circuit and cut all the highs out, and then probably a noise suppressor to eliminate the hiss from the equalizer. This pedal is just far too sensitive to the high end "tap" your foot makes upon impact. The best choice for me has been the Porch Board Bass (micro version)....no equalizer nor subwoofer needed, but you'd better have at least a 10" speaker to handle the deep thud it produces.
