Solid; Made to Last
I am very please with the Ultimate Support Pro-SB stands. They are easy to turn to adjust the height. I was surprised how heavy the base is. It certainly won't topple over easily!
Outstanding product!!!
I was looking to move away from tripod mic stands because of a) real-estate on cramped stages and b) the tripod bases always wear out over time. I found this one. Took a gamble, bought one, and boy did it pay off. so much so that I ordered two more and will eventually get another pair. The build quality on these units are excellent. Very durable, robust and gig-worthy. When not in use as a vocal mic stand(s) at gigs, they double as drum overhead boom-stand bases.
Yes, they are on the weighty side, but that only adds to the robustness of the product. In addition, the stackable base makes it easy to stack and pack 'em in the vehicle without having to tear them apart.
Solid
Very solid pro quality stand. Base is just heavy enough without being overly heavy and small enough so it's not in the way.
As good as it gets
People probably don't spend a lot of time thinking about mic stands until they break. Then it's a disaster lol. I operate a small studio and think about stands a lot. This is by far one of the better meat-and-potatoes type stands I own. It's heavier than most of the other standard mic stands I own. That big ol wad of metal down there will keep the stand in place and prevent the thing from tipping over (unless you're bound and determined to knock it over lol). Don't waste money on cheap stands. Life is too short to use cheap stands lol. I have regretted every cheap mic stand I have ever bought. The good ones will last a lifetime if you take care of them. This one will probably outlive me lol. Highly recommended and Sweetwater will get it to your doorstep super fast!
Worth the extra $
It's the best mic stand I've ever used, but I can't give it a 5. I can't feel 'blown away' by a mic stand, but this one is heavy enough to stay put and the clutch is smooth and easy to operate.

expensive but totally worth the extra money.
Ultimate Support Pro-SB Stand
This is one of the the best mic stands I have ever purchased. It is very stable and I don't have to deal with unfolding a tri-pod base. The clutch seems to work very easy. I am impressed. It is a heavy duty stand and it looks like something that should last a long time.
