GREAT CHOICE

Excellent value.

Great Mixer!!

By Kevin from Nashville, TN on May 26, 2019 Music Background: Singer, songwriter, sound engineer

When my 20 year old Mackie CFX-12 finally gave up, I bought this to replace it. Almost the same footprint, about an inch wider with 4 ADDITIONAL CHANNELS. The Mic Pre's are great, as on all Mackie mixers and the signal routing is amazing. It gives you incredible output options for mains, monitor mixes and more and with the new USB interface you've got direct input into Pro Tools or whatever DAW you're using. Unbelievable sound and options for ANY price.

Jackie - Wow!

Can't say much other than nothing sounded as good as our small jam group playing instruments and singing through this system, Crystal clear, with great range!

Wow.

I also have the ProFX12, and this is a nice upgrade from that!
The 10 XLR channels are so great for mic'ing a whole band, or just part...The mic channels all have a pre-amp and four channels of compression allows so much control. The two separate monitor sends are extremely useful, especially in a full band situation, and the Effects are subtle, but great! Very happy so far... have used it for about 8 gigs and it has been awesome!

Great Mixer

By DW Lang from Illinois on September 28, 2018 Music Background: Professional Amateur

This mixer checks all the boxes. It sounds good, it's easy to use, and it's built like a tank. The layout is simple and easy to understand. It's simple to use on stage at live gigs. I own two of the 16 channel versions of this (one in the studio for band rehearsal and one for gigging), and also the 8, 12, and 22 versions. I've tried using iPad controlled mixers, and keep coming back to the sound, simplicity, and durability of the ProFXv2 series...

Awesome Mixer/Wicked Price

The absolute best mixer. Easy to use & even easier to set up. Strongly recommend to any band needing an affordable compact mixer!

Solid Board, but the effects are terrible

By Geoff Mack from California on August 16, 2016 Music Background: professional musician

Mackie makes pretty durable equipment and it is good enough for live sound. I got my board a few days ago and started playing with it. I have to say that the built-in effects are terrible. There is no way to use any of these. I am seriously thinking about returning it. But I'm not sure which board to choose, SoundCraft, Allen & Heath, Behringer or Yamaha. They all have built-in effects

Noisy USB with DAW open

By Dave on November 30, 2019

I got this mixer solely for recording our rehearsals. I got it set up in the DAW, both Reaper and Tracktion Waveform 8. As long as a DAW is not open, it's quiet, you can play mp3's, youtube, whatever from laptop and it sounds good but as soon as you open a DAW, there is loud static noise. I don't think the static gets into the recording as far as I can tell with some quick tests but while rehearsing, it's not good to hear that loud static noise while you're playing. For a normal rehearsal I guess the usb button can be bypassed and it will still record the band but if you want to record with a backing track from your laptop you can't bypass the usb or else you won't hear the backing track.

Power supply is bad

By Ric Guial from Oceanside, CA on September 24, 2019

I got this mixer January of 2016 and used it for 8 Sundays for 4 hrs a day.and never use it again until last Saturday September 21, 2019. I was trying to set up the system at home for our Worship practice, after 30 minutes of adjusting the sounds the mixer suddenly acts like a Christmas light and scared all of us in the house caused of the sounds coming out from it, we thought the whole unit is going to blow up.

I thought this one was a better upgrade than my old VLZ Mixer but end a bad choice. The Mackie customer service are the worst one I ever encounter.

Not your father's Mackie

By Steve from Tampa on March 1, 2017 Music Background: Weekend Warrior

Different electrical ghost every gig with this thing. Channels work one week and not the next. The mains have gone out twice, only to mysteriously work after the gig. My old CFX Mark11 series is a tank.
