Heirloom Guitar But Yet Art!
I am a retired Marine that has picked up loving guitars in the last few years. So as I grew in skills my demands from the guitars I played grew and the expectations I had were huge.
I bought this exact guitar and it really is what Paul calls it, "This is an heirloom quality guitar that doubles as art." People see my Paul's guitar hanging on the wall and can't stop talking about it. Eventually, I give in and play it using my Mesa Boogie 5:50 Plus and every time the result is the same. Their jaws just hang their in disbelief at how beautiful the tone that erupts with each strum and that is before I show them the power of the 408 pickups by switching around from neck to bridge and humbucker to single coil tones. People just melt after hearing it played and then when you hand it back to them and show them the craftsmanship they do it all over again. Seriously though, this guitar is as close to perfection as I have ever seen in a production made guitar and for that matter any boutique guitar.
After buying this guitar, which was my very first Paul Reed Smith guitar, I can see that Paul Smith is not just an amazing guitar builder that is fanatic about guitars, BUT he is also equally as fanatic about quality. That is why I have never seen a Taylor, Martin, Fender or Gibson guitar that comes even close to producing the same beautiful tone yet also damn near perfection in quality and beauty. This guitar is a home run resulting from a triple of quality, tone and beauty.
