So sleek!!

I really like this guitar. I rarely play 6 strings any longer, but this almost feels like one. I seem to reach for this guitar more than any other ( out of 10). I actually installed $300 red colored Bare Knuckle Aftermath 7's in to it. WOW! I mean the original PUPs have killer tone and I liked them a lot but c'mon... BKP's. This guitar plays so smooth. The neck is so liquid and btw "through body" with a very nice cut away in back & front.Metalhead? Need a new sick looking & sleek guitar? New to 7's? Want to get closer to Ola's killer sound? Get this, set it up to your liking and maybe even customize with some PUP's. Great guitar for the money!

raw and elegant metal machine

first off,let me tell what happened when I opened the box and saw the guitar for the first time,my smile was getting bigger the more I unveil the guitar out of its box, this thing looks really good and elegant,it actually looks better in person than in the pictures, even though I was expecting a little bit more sheen from the finish (I was expecting a gibson les paul gothic style finish, not like an epiphone les paul gothic finish) but it did not take away the awe I felt when I saw the guitar, can you say this guitar is elegant and sexy?yes! I have been waiting for this guitar since they announced the release last year.its been a long wait and I must say its freakin worth it!so with the looks its an easy 4.5 to 5 stars for me,its just a really good looking guitar,I wasn't too sure about the inlay at first but when I saw the guitar in person the inlay didn't ruin the guitars' looks at all.the only reasons I gave this a 4 star rating is because of the following reasons. A. the guitar arrived with loose tuning machine heads,I had to tighten it up a with my mini wrench,I mean the hex nut on the tuning machines are very loose like you could move them with little force. B. the pickups are a little bit on the noisy side,I've had an entry level ibanez RG with the flamed maple veneer and its pickups are pretty silent, and I've had an ESP LTD EC-401fm with emg's and they too are silent.I had to adjust the threshold of the noise gates on the pod hd pro for this guitar specifically, everything else turned out well after that (still a little but of ringing) C. the machine head for the high E string was not placed right, the hole for the screw was drilled at the wrong spot,I checked it and it was really not aligned with the rest of the tuning machines,I might bring it to a guitar center nearby to have that fixed by someone with the right tools,it doesn't affect the guitars playabilty but its still a flaw. D. I guess the 55 point inspection from sweetwater did not see this flaws and I'm thinking whats the point for the inspection C. I thought it was free shipping but upon checking the invoice there is a shipping and handling fee,I'm stingy I know but they still say its free shipping on the website other than that it was a great buy! I would not hesitate to buy another one just because I like the guitar so much.and the experience with my purchase was really good, Mr. Ikes taylor was very helpful and they actually allowed me to pay the guitar in two payments even though I was not approved for the three easy payments option,( I could have paid the guitar in full but I purchase a lot of gear too and its nice to have some money left in my pocket) I forgot the other guys name who actually took the first payment.all in all,I would recommend this to anyone who plays metal, djent etc.yes its an import model, but to be honest,it doesn't matter, its still an awesome guitar.the neck feels like its between an RG and the new schecter KM-7,its got the thickness of the KM but the scale length of an RG,I have small hands so the RG scale length is just a perfect fit (my hand felt like it was doing splits when I played the KM7).If you are looking for an RG style 7 or 6 string guitar but you want a meaner looking guitar, this is the perfect guitar for you,the extended cutaway is awesome too,I would have this guitar with an evertune bridge soon and have it shipped to someone who does a guitar paintjob because I want a little bit of sheen with the finish, and after that it will be the guitar of my dreams.
