As a string cleaner, it works fine. My gripe is that you are not supposed to allow it to touch your fingerboard. Given the way it smells, which is sort of like rubbing alcohol, I am not arguing, as it would appear, at a minimum, that it would dry out the board pretty fast. Products like Fast Fret do not hurt the fingerboard, and do a fine job cleaning the strings. Most of the work in applying this product is from having to protect the fingerboard, and that is a pain. It should be wipe it down, wipe it off, put guitar away. I say back to the drawing board with this one.
