D'Addario Rich Robinson Brass Slide - Large Reviews

Maybe the best feeling on my finger slide I have eve used. Great tone and feel. Even if it did take a long time to get in the mail. Worth it!

First, I'm trash at slide guitar, but I absolutely trying. I've always taken issue with slides being loose toward my fingertip. This slide takes care of that issue with internal tapering, which also adds mass to the slide and gives me the impression I have more control. Plays like a dream!

I recently began playing slide on a resonator set up for slide, and tested 11 different slides. This was the clear winner. I think the secret is the inner taper, which fits my pinkie perfectly. I also think the 57mm length is perfect -- long enough to cover all six strings if needed, but without any annoying "hangover" (extending beyond my fingertip.) It's definitely substantial, a bit on the heavy side, but in a good way. There really isn't anything about this slide that I don't like. And it's a bargain compared to some of its high-end competitors.

I have 20+ slides of all types, most just sit around looking pretty. Pre-ordered this rascal on a whim, not expecting much really, and am way surprised. About to order another, just in case. Honestly, this is just perfect for my needs, perfect length, plenty of volume without being insanely heavy, flat surface rather than curved like some brass slides, including my previous favorite, the Latch Lake. I play slide mostly on my no-name resonator, a beat up but magical instrument with an after market pickup that has a perfect bluesy sound. This slide actually surpasses all others for making that sound happen. Articulates notes really well, never understood the beveled sides on some brass slides, including the Latch Lake, the flat surface of this slide works the way it is supposed to work, blasting out full chords or single notes with ease. For my acoustic slide work, this is the best I've found, a nice surprise. Great quality and price too!

This is my favorite slide I've ever owned. The tapered walls makes it fit my finger very comfortably and makes it easier to control for me. The thick walled brass sounds great as well. If you're like me and have dabbled with slide but always felt clunky and awkward give this slide a shot, you won't regret it.

First off I love the way this slide is tapered once it is on your finger it doesn't move! It is satin finished so it's got more of that raunchy sound that rich robinson is known for. I like it for when I want some more bite and just a lot of attack. It arrived in a wonderful box and was presented with black velvet case with RR logo on it in silver when you open it it's like a piece of jewelry literally! I was very impressed with it it is the raunchiest sounding slide I own! I recommend to anyone who wants that raunchy slide guitar with the amp driven or on acoustic guitar! Sounds really good on a les Paul Junior or a telecaster! Pick one up today you won't be disappointed! Thank again Ryan Murray!
