Excellent Powered PA Speakers at a Great Price!

Lightweight yet road-ready, Peavey's PVXp 12 powered loudspeaker gives you the sound reinforcement you need. Ultra-rugged molded polypropylene shells and scuff-resistant powder-coated steel grilles are the key to the PVXp 12 durability, allowing them to easily withstand the routine wear that comes with transporting your speakers. Peavey gave the PVXp 12 a well-balanced combination of drivers, including a heavy-duty 12" woofer and an RX 14 titanium-diaphragm compression driver - driven by 400 watts continuous (800W peak). Grab a pair of Peavey PVXp 12 powered speakers for your next show.

Peavey PVXp 12 Powered Loudspeaker at a Glance:
  • Easy-to-transport, lightweight design
  • Built tough for life on the road
  • Plenty of power and projection
Easy-to-transport, lightweight design

No one likes hauling around heavy gear. That's why Peavey built the PVXp 12 to be as lightweight as possible, without sacrificing durability. What's more, the PVXp 12 features a number of molded-in cabinet handles for extra grab-and-go convenience. And when it comes to flying PVXp 12 speakers, multiple in-cabinet fly points make the job easy.

Built tough for life on the road

Peavey PVXp 12 powered speakers are so lightweight, you may just be tempted to literally throw them in the back of your truck. Of course, we at Sweetwater don't recommend this, but if you do, your PVXp 12 will probably shrug off the abuse without a problem. That's because Peavey built their PVXp 12 enclosures from high-tech molded polypropylene, which absorbes shock and resists scratches like a champ.

Plenty of power and projection

Whether you're blasting music, amplifying vocals, or just need a good speaker for speech sound reinforcement, your Peavey PVXp 12 powered loudspeaker will do the trick. It packs 400 watts continuous (800W peak), driving a pair of highly efficient speakers - allowing a pair of PVx 12s to easily cover audiences in the hundreds. What's more, built-in pole mounts let you easily elevate your loudspeakers, increasing their effective range. And the PVXp 12's asymmetrical horn is engineered to deliver your sound where you need it (not over your audience's heads), maximizing its dispersion.

Peavey PVXp 12 Powered Loudspeaker Features:
  • Two-way, bi-amped sound reinforcement enclosure
  • 12" heavy-duty woofer with 2-3/8" voice coil & 50 oz. magnet
  • RX14TM compression driver, with 1.4" titanium diaphragm Ultra-reliable
  • 400W continuous (800W peak) fan-cooled power amps with DDT protection
  • Contour switch for boosting lows and highs

peavey pvxp 12

I've used these speakers for mains with karaoke live bands they sounds great

Great as a Monitor

This speakers works great as a floor monitor a lot of wattage and output. Sadly there no low cut so you might get bass coupling with the floor. I've never used it as a main pa speaker but for smaller events or DJ/wedding events I think it would be a good choice.

Good Speaker for the Money

These speakers crank. I play in an alternative rock band and we have a pair of these. The vocals sound very clean using just a basic mixer. Great overall sound and tons of power with a pair. We will be adding another speaker to be used as a floor monitor very soon.

Decent Sound

When I purchased the speaker, I was looking forward to a great Peavey sound. But, the sound quality is average or simply okay. I purchased one of the expansion modules so I could plug in more than one guitar and mic. As a monitor is serves its purpose, and as a main, once again it is alright. With a decent mixer, you can work around it to get a better sound. Later, I purchased a Peavey DM 112 that is far more superior in sound than the PVXP 12, and cost was way cheaper. I am planning to purchase another DM112 and most likely trade the PVXP12 or sell it at a loss. My recommendation is simply, if you like Peavey speakers and want good sound quality, go with the DM112 and it will save you some money to purchase other items you need for your gigs.

Not Dependable

In less than 2 months I have had 2 go on me. The first the horn died on the first job the replacement was DOA at the first gig it was used on. We used it as a monitor at practice and took it to the gig it would not power up. Peavey used to be good equipment for the money but I am done with them, their quality control since moving to China is terrible. That said Sweetwater has always taken care of use and their service is fantastic I won't buy anywhere else. Props out to my rep Mike Arango.
