The Peavey PVi 6500 powered mixer will help ensure that your performances sound great every time. Your microphones will sound crystal clear thanks to Peavey's award-winning Silencer mic preamps, while Peavey's patented Mid Morph EQ makes it easy to dial-in a great vocal sound fast. And you're less likely to have feedback issues even on small stages, thanks to the PVi 6500's patented FLS Feedback Locating System. Factor in built-in 24-bit digital effects with footswitchable control, and you've got a value-packed powered mixing solution with the Peavey PVi 6500.

Peavey PVi 6500 6-channel Powered Mixer at a Glance:
  • Built-in feedback protection for better performance on smaller stages
  • Footswitchable effects and master mute for more control over your sound
  • Patented Kosmos-C audio enhancement
Built-in feedback protection for better performance on smaller stages

If you're looking at a six-channel powered mixer like the Peavey PVi 6500, chances are you're playing smaller venues and the small stages that come with them. And that would normally guarantee you're going to have feedback issues due to the close proximity of mics and speakers - unless you've got the Feedback Locating System in the PVi 6500. If feedback occurs, the FLS system will light up an LED on the Graphic EQ slider that you need to adjust. Get it dialed in during sound check, and you'll virtually guarantee a feedback-free performance.

Footswitchable effects for more control over your sound

If you're both mixing and performing, you'll appreciate the PVi 6500's footswitch input. Connect a standard momentary footswitch (not included), and you'll be able to defeat the built-in effects and also activate the Master Mute switch. It's an easy way to quickly mute your system for connecting another microphone, swapping out noisy cables, and other situations where you just need to kill all sound momentarily.

Patented Kosmos-C audio enhancement

Peavey equipped the PVi 6500 with their patented Kosmos-C audio enhancement module to make sure your sound is never dull or boring. Peavey explains that Kosmos-C Low control "provides 'natural bass enhancement' by adding harmonically related bass signals that track envelope of the original signal". The High control adds clarity to dull signals. Used together, you can add punch and clarity to any source.

Peavey PVi 6500 6-channel Powered Mixer Features:
  • Powered mixer with 200W (RMS at 4-ohms) per output channel
  • Six-channel design with ultra-clean Silencer microphone preamplifiers
  • Feedback Locating System makes it easy to fight onstage feedback
  • 9-band Graphic EQ helps you tune your system to any room
  • Mid-Morph EQ makes it fast and easy to dial in a great vocal sound
  • Built-in 24-bit effects processing with footswitchable mute
  • Kosmos-C audio enhancement module lets you add punch and clarity to dull signals
  • Bluetooth wireless audio streaming for portable Bluetooth music players
The Peavey PVi 6500 may be the perfect powered mixer for your next gig!

Great Little Unit

I DJ allot of wedding and event that require me to be set up in two places at one time. I love this unit because it is perfect for a ceremony when you have a speaking engagement and need soft background music. The feedback destroyer works great. I love the built in MP3 player. I can put all the music I need on a flash drive and pop it in to play background music. Plenty of power to do a small to medium sized event and outside for speaking engagements only!!! It's rated for 400 watts but PA speakers normally are 8ohm and this unit only puts out about 75watts per channel at 8ohms.

Awesome little sound box!

Ok, let me start out with the negative. The first one I received did not work. Front panel lighted up, but no sound from the speakers, the amp was dead. Now for the good. Called my sales engineer and he hooked me up with Tech Support. We tried several options, different cords and settings and the amp was still dead. So the tech support person, verified my address and in two days, I had another one, with a prepaid shipping label to send the bad one back. That was quick. Ok, set the new one up and went through the manual. Amp works perfectly but couldn't get sound from the built in Player. Now pay attention, cause this isn't pointed out in the manual. You only can see the relevance by looking at the Block schematic diagram. For the player to operate, insert your usb stick or sd card and you will see your songs scrolling across the screen. The LEVEL control of Channel 6 must be greater than 0 in other words, turned up, the Main amp volume must also be turned up and last but not least the MP3/Media button must be pushed IN. Now you will hear your music, and you can play along with it through any of the available channels. WHOO HOO this is fun! Mine is hooked to a couple of Audio Choice speakers, 10" with 4" horns, not the best, but sounds really good. I love Peavey, I have talked to Roger at Peavey several times concerning other Peavey equipment that I have repaired for our Church. Thanks to Sweetwater for their very quick response to my original problem and more so to their 0% financing that allowed me to purchase the unit, along with the Gibson Les Paul Studio which I absolutely LOVE and play through this amp. This is a great little amp that is perfect for the type of venues that I play, Church, Senior Centers, Nursing homes, and at Campgrounds. Love it!

PVi 6500

I buy Peavey because it lasts ,end of story .This amp is compact, light and sounds clean, no hiss at higher volume levels. Effects are subtle but usable .FLS system works great. Have used it for home practice a gig and jam on the fly . Peavey always comes through. I think I have been using their equip. for over 25 years.

Great, but then there is Bluetooth..

I picked this mixer up to have a smaller unit for acoustic use. Everything works great and I love the features. I use two 12" cabinets with it and it sounds clean. Sometimes there is a pop when turning on and off, but that is somewhat expected on units like this. And then there is Bluetooth... I had no problem connecting, but there is an issue with sound quality. The speed/pitch of the music will slow down and speed up. This is ever more drastic as you get further away from the mixer. The range is only about 10-20 ft. I have multiple different Bluetooth audio devices and this is the only one with this issue. I will just use my Logitech Bluetooth Audio Adapter plugged into the line in instead; it has great sound and range, no issues.
