A Great Desktop Recording Solution!

The Peavey PV 6 BT small-format mixer leaves many of us at Sweetwater wondering how Peavey got so many useful features into such a small footprint. This compact mixer is great for any application where a trimmed-down size trumps number of inputs. With the PV 6 BT you have the ability to send audio directly to your mixer wirelessly via included Bluetooth wireless connectivity. A selectable hi-Z guitar preamp, Digital effects, EQ bypass, and more also go into making the PV 6 BT a great option for your compact mixer needs.

Peavey PV 6 BT Compact Mixer at a Glance:
  • Great connectivity, including Bluetooth
  • Selectable guitar based preamp perfect for home recording
  • Onboard digital effects and compression fine-tunes your sound
Great connectivity, including Bluetooth

2 universal low-noise microphone preamps, 2 pair of stereo 1/4" inputs, stereo RCA ins, a 3.55mm jack, and Bluetooth connectivity. Not bad for a mixer smaller than some coffee table books. If you use multiple different sound sources for your mixing application but need something in a trimmed-down format the PV 6 BT may be just your ticket. Do you podcast with one or two mics, a device for bringing in music or sound effects, and want to be able to use your bluetooth enabled smartphone for phone interviews? Thanks to Peavey now you can!

Selectable guitar hi-Z preamp perfect for home recording

A great addition to this line of PV series mixers is the selectable hi-Z preamp that changes the onboard EQ and preamp specifically for your electric guitar. You can put away those DI boxes and extra hardware you used to need. This feature comes in incredibly handy when running your guitar direct into your DAW and/or electric guitar amplifier modeling software. Peavey's PV 6 BT gives you what you need to get a good clean electric guitar sound into your DAW.

Onboard digital effects and compression fine-tunes your sound

Onboard effects are hardly a new thing in the world of mixers, but rarely do you see as many useful options in such a low-profile design. With 16 effects presets, no matter if wild soundscapes are your thing, or you just want to dial in a little reverb to give your inputs a little less of that "direct" feel, you won't be using up more precious inputs with complicated outboard gear to get it. All those effects with individual channel control are built right into your new PV 6 BT.

Peavey PV 6 BT Compact Mixer Features:
  • Versatile small-format mixer for your desktop recording needs
  • Bluetooth connectivity is great for podcasting and other applications
  • Selectable hi-Z preamp designed for electric guitar input
  • Onboard effects not normally found in such a small format
  • 3-band EQ with bypass switches
  • Phantom power for your devices that require it
  • USB-B in and out directly connects to your computer
Update your desktop studio with the Peavey PV 6 BT!

Peavey PV6BT

Purchased the Peavey PV6BT to use for audio at my daughters wedding. This little mixer was perfect. Mic pre's were excellent. Quality of build is solid. Features were easy to use. Reverb worked great. Everyone was very pleased with the quality. I ran this board to a pair of JBL EON 615's and it worked like a charm. Used a Classic iPod for music. Used Blue 200 for vocal mic (my daughter sang a special song for her mother) and a shotgun mic from Audio Technique to capture the ceremony audio for the audience - worked great. I was so impressed with this little board, I believe my next board will be the Peavey PB14AT for small band performances.

Peavey - PV6bt

Its made by Peavey i need not to say Much more about the quality- its top notch !!! The blue tooth was very easy to bind !!! i currently own an older PV 8 non usb Mixer for my annual Karaoke parties _ Wanting to upgrade my audio equipment and run a separate mixer and amp rack for my regular mp3/CD venue ,this Pv6 bt has every bit and then some of what i was looking for to do so. The Guys and Gals at Sweetwater are top notch as well!! i Greatly appreciated the follow up call before my order was shipped !! during the conversation i was confident that i was making the ideal choice with this mixer!! oddly enough my main reason for this mixer is the usb /pc connection which i haven't even connected yet . Keep up the great service and hard work that you all have been doing At Sweetwater!! you have another customer for life!!!

Went National during major fire news report

I was able to connect my Linux system through the Peavey BV6BT and the Blue en.CORE 200 microphone using Skype so that my wife Lorraine Dechter, a radio journalist, could be interviewed during the ROCKY wildland fire near Clear Lake, CA. We connected live to "The Takeaway", a nationally broadcast live radio show out of NYC on the "Public Radio International" network. Using the EQ she was able to get a nice clean signal, in a room with audio problems, so that the engineers and the producer all liked the sound. The mic gave us a very pleasant reproduction of her voice. The two (switched) Control Room outputs came in very handy. She only had to push one button to kill the near field audio monitors and send the signal out to her Tascam digital audio recorder. The output control knob allowed her to quickly adjust the audio level going into the Tascam. The level control on the Digital Return channel was especially appreciated so as to get a good level coming back to us from NYC. They must have liked the signal and the interview she gave to them; we are doing it again tomorrow for the "Jerusalem" wildfire. I especially appreciate that I don't need a special device driver to use the USB link on the Peavey mixer with my Linux system. I hate having to reboot into Windblows to use some audio gear! The review may go up to a 5 stars if, and when, I have time to get the Bluetooth channel working with her cell phone so she can easily do phone interviews with her sources and her reporters in the field. Peavey needs to provide better operating manuals for these mixers.Having said all this, I will probably be buying another Peavey PV6BT and more Blue mics in the not too distant future.
