Jackson Pro Series Rhoads RR24Q - Trans Purple Reviews
The Jackson Pro Series Rhoads RR24Q solidbody electric guitar delivers striking aesthetics, an ultra-playable neck, and a perfect balance between classic design and modern features. This guitar follows in the footsteps of the original Randy Rhoads model, sporting the familiar aggressive “V” design and unmistakable legendary tone, courtesy of Seymour Duncan Distortion TB-6 and SH-6 humbuckers. The Pro Series Rhoads RR24Q features a comfortable oil-finished maple neck, along with a lightning-fast compound-radius fretboard. Get it in your hands and we think you’ll agree, the Jackson Pro Series Rhoads RR24Q is an outstanding solidbody electric guitar.

Serious Guitar at this Price
I've never been into V's or RR's, but something hit me recently and I decided I needed one. I landed on this guitar due to reviews. Thankfully, they were spot on and the guitar did not disappoint.
The guitar is very well balanced. It's a joy to play standing up -- the neck sits perfectly. I was worried about sitting, but that has not been an issue. I either have it in the classical position or keep the strap high.
The pickups are very versatile. The neck pickup has a rounded fatness. The bridge has a pronounced response on the upper mid/high frequencies, which is rounded as well. Close to bell tones. Certainly not just for hard rock or metal, but they do excel there.
Wasn't expecting it to play like butter, but it does! Would buy again.
Thanks to Richard Whittington, my sales engineer, for the great customer service as always!
Guitar like no other
I've never felt comfortable with a Rhoads, or a V or an ML ... Neck Dio, and general gaudiness. However this neck through Monster changed the way I look at a master crafted instrument.
The super distortion pickups and Ebony neck make the RR an extension not your body. The 2020 RR24Q are rare, it almost feels when playing them the fear and uncertainty of 2020 not many every made it out of the factory.. if you have Inez cherish it. It will be a longtime before a machine of this mastery is available.
May buy a 2nd
Talk about craftsmanship! Another home run from Jackson, this guitar feels amazing, consistent if not increasing quality, and just wow this top is gorgeous. Considering a 2nd for refinish! And the service from Sweetwater is just as exceptional.
Amazing guitar
This guitar is well built, sounds great and is fun to play. The pick-ups are great for that high-gain "brown" sound. Plays smooth and effortlessly.
perfect out of the case
frets are smooth. neck is straight. action is low. staying in tune. pickups sound great. clean or dirty this guitar ROCKS! metal to country to blues within reach. and, last but not least it is gorgeous. I didn't mention how light it is but 7.1lbs gets it done all night.
Quite disappointed
I've been wanting a nice Jackson RR model for a very long time. I saw this on Sweetwaters website and loved the way it looked. All the reviews raved about the quality and playability of the RR24Q, so I pulled the trigger. I must say, it looks a ton better than it plays. It feels like a cheap guitar, the neck is a rather odd shape, not what I expected. Definitely not the speed neck I was hoping for. I have a Schecter Hellraiser that is 10 times the guitar the RR24Q is, and I bought it used, with a hard case for less than half of what I paid for this Jackson. Maybe I just got a bad one out of the bunch, but I am not happy with my purchase. I thought it would get better as I played it more, but that is not the case. It's beautiful Case Candy to look at, but playability is another story.
