Works Great

Looked all over for this saddle before coming to Sweetwater and I'll be coming back more often. Normally I take my guitars to a qualified Luther but I figured filing the saddle would be something simple that I could do easily. This resulted in filing my original saddle too low. The action was great but the E bass string was always dead. After learning a lot more about setups I discovered what I had done and ordered this saddle. With the compensated filing for the D35 already complete, I was sure that this would be a job I could do and an easy choice for saddles. It was a little thick but this allowed me to sand it down for a snug fit. A little sanding on the bottom, a turn on the neck's tensioning rod, and the action was great again and so was the sound. I have used a TUSQ nut on another guitar with great success and I am very satisfied with this TUSQ saddle on my old D35 Martin. I highly recommend it. Although I am not much on repairs, I play a fairly good bluegrass guitar and know what a good sound is for my instruments. I get good sound with this saddle.

Great Upgrade

I didn't know that replacing the bridge saddle would make that much of a difference, but I couldn't believe the amount of sustain it added.
