As strong as steel!

I've been using Pro-Mark Shira Kashi Oak (formerly Japanese Oak) sticks for over 25 years, and I've yet to break even one of them! I'm a fairly hard hitter and used to go through hickory and maple sticks all the time, but the oak sticks last! On my acoustic kit, I use the monster Tommy Aldridge 2S swords, which is probably another reason I don't break sticks. I still have a pair that are over 20 years old and going strong! For my V-Drums, I purchased these 5A oak sticks for the lighter touch. The satin finish is perfect, they have a little more weight (which I like) and are perfectly balanced. Unless you have really bad technique, these sticks are going to last. The bad part is that they are a little pricey to be tossing into the audience during a show lol
