    Power Plus!

Steady gigs every weekend now, looking to upgrade the PA. Did a LOT of research before I settled on the Behringer PMP6000. Compact and packs a solid punch, both inside and outside. Dual monitors are just the ticket for the "more me" band members and the individual EQ adjustments on each channel get the best out of the gear, whether acoustic guitar or fiddle or just plain vocals. I paired this with a couple of Eurolive B125D powered speakers and got more than a few compliments on the clarity, depth and tone at our latest outside gig. The PMP6000 seems to be well made, with smooth operating controls. Be sure to purchase a protective case. Well meaning "helpers" would quickly do a number on the numerous pots and sliders!

What a mixer. It sounds terrific high and low volume. I am also using it with my Behringer 2000 as an amp for my booth speakers. The quality is fantastic, the controls do it all. Take the time to read the manual - not super comprehensive but clearly spells out all of the functions and inputs.

Plenty of power - have pushed it to half volume and it provided more sound than I will ever need.

I would like to send a special shout out to IsRael Foster my Sweetwater Rep who is great and has redefined customer service. Your follow up phone calls and your advise is priceless. I am a Sweetwater Customer for life (or as long as IsRael works there) !

anything for a buck...and, anything with strings ...

    Versatile powered mixer

It's a good mixer....not an overload of features ya don't need....
Just right for small/medium venues for a six piece band...you can use it alone..or with a couple power amps for subs and monitors...
It does get the job done...
I recommend either building or buying a road case....I didn't give it a 5 star rating only because I haven't had it long enough to really give it the Road test......we'll see....
already used it for like 7 gigs...and its holding up just fine....

    Behringer PMP 6000

I owned a PMP5000 for about 5 years and it was a superb powered mixer with more than enough output for all our outdoor gigs. Unfortunately it finally died in the middle of a show in September. I tried to get it repaired but the switching power supply was the cause of the failure and a replacement could not be found. I was reluctant at first to buy another PMP but with the new extended warranty and more power and the great deal I got from Sweetwater, I bought the new PMP6000. Time will tell how long it will last, but I think if I get 4 or 5 more years out of the new one I will be very happy. It's a great mixer.

Ok, I am back to give my opinion after using this mixer for over a year. Although it's a great mixer with a good warranty ( now ), it is vastly under powered and the output rating by Behringer is decieving. If you download the spec sheet from mfg you will see the actual output is a fraction of what is stated. It has less actual power than my old pmp 5000. The issue seems to be the trim control and faders. If you have either any where near full the clipping is awful and distortion present constantly. The only way to avoid this is to keep faders at 80% and trims knobs at 70%. Doing this makes mics distortion free but your output watts drop to about 300 per side. The only way I could get more volume out to the audience was to add one powered front of house speaker to each side connected to the mains out section. Controling their volume with the mains out knob. So there it is. If you only play indoors in very sma!! Venues this mixer will do fine.
