Sound your best with built-in FX

The PMP580S sports a built-in FX processor featuring 25 effects presets. You get a whole slew of delays, reverbs, modulations, pitch-shifters, and multi-FX to spice up your sound. Add a hint of reverb and delay to vocals, or a lush chorus to your acoustic guitar. The PMP580S's 24-bit digital effects add a professional touch to any performance.

Lightweight and efficient Class D amplifier technology

Thanks to the revolutionary Class D technology with "near-zero" thermal buildup, the lightweight PMP580S runs very cool, no more massive heat sinks or toroid transformers. We've been impressed with the punch and clarity of this Class D power amp at Sweetwater, and we're sure your band will be too.

Graphic EQ with Feedback Detection

The 7-band graphic EQ on the PMP580S features Behringer's FBQ feedback detection system to help you sound your best. When feedback occurs, LEDs on the EQ sliders light up - just turn down the slider with the brightest LED, and you've turned down the offending frequency. It's a great problem solver if you have to mix and perform at the same time, taking the guesswork out of eliminating feedback.

Frikkin Awesome!

Wow......all works flawlessly...great in sonic heaven....well built, equalizer works exceedingly well, Behringer speaker sensing technology works great. Ran it for hours and Class D amp technology ran cool as a cucumber. Great price...couldn't be happier with it....oh and enough power for me to add more speakers! Bam! A+

Good for Me

I was looking for a powered mixer for different small mainly acoustic bands I gig with. In middle age I'm not looking to lug heavy equiptment around. The Behringer seemed to have the features I wanted in a small powered mixer, levels and eq's on main/monitor etc. The effects were better than what I expected (although I doubt I'll ever actually use all of them) Nice straightforward intuitive controls, don't need a seminar to operate it. Done the job so far, I like it. Not going to rock the house probably but will get you above the din with a good sound

Sounds real good

I decided to go stereo with my stage rig (guitar and keyboards) and needed a complimentary solution for my home practice setup. As usual I found exactly what I was looking for in the Behringer line and pretty much no where else; they just seem to be able to read my mind regarding what is actually needed in a real world situation. After a three hour burn in period I hooked up and started playing along with my set list backing trax and was much pleased. The stereo unit makes a huge difference in how the arrangements sound and I will never go back to mono. Even though onboard DSP wasn't part of my wish list of features I find myself really liking the ability to add some excellent sounding effects to the overall output. The EQ modules are transparent and their faders feel solid and accurate. The overall design of the user interface is well thought out and easy to work with. The input jacks lock in solid with the cables and although the channel knobs feel a bit loose they work fine and are precise. I am getting absolutely no hum, buzz or hiss through the unit and that is without any power conditioning. Vocals sound really good through the onboard preamps and even better when I put my VoiceLive Play in front. The unit runs very cool and is surprisingly light for its size; likely due to a class D circuit. I am finding the level meters to be very useful as I can see them from a long distance away and the feedback detection feature really works. I am so pleased with this little wonder that I'll actually use it for live performances at small venues instead of my usual rack-based rig. I know Behringer equipment has been considered bottom of the market in quality for a long time but based on my recent acquisition and use of some of their "unique" offerings I am no longer hesitant to purchase their gear. If this unit has the features you are looking for I recommend you buy one and be pleasantly surprised at how good this little powered mixer is.
