Great Strap
Easy to use, adjustable, comfortable and looks nice. Happy with Levy"s and Sweetwater!
Had to have it!
I have a Strat-style guitar, but haven't played it much in the last 18 years. When I pulled it out recently, I had a simple, leather strap on it. After a short time playing it, I had to get a Levy's padded strap! I have several Levy's padded straps, which I have used for years. Now I hate playing without them. Sweetwater had the best selection of Levy's padded straps I could find. When I saw this strap, I had to have it! I love the way it looks and feels. Quality and workmanship are superb. I used to think a strap should not cost much until I played with a Levy's. Then it occurred to me, if I'm going to put big bucks in a guitar, it doesn't make sense to scrimp on straps, cords, strings, etc. I highly recommend this strap.
PM44 3" Basketweave Tooled Leather
My other leather straps are the Levy's MV17 2.5" Veg Tan Leather, 54" max length. This PM44 3" Basketweave Tooled Leather is much nicer, but be aware, max length is 50". It's long enough for my comfort, though, so I'm not complaining. It's a beautiful strap.
Excellent Strap
Awesome quality, good looking, but most of all comfortable. I love this strap. Takes some work getting your strap locks on these as the leather is thick but using some tools comes in handy.
Security, Thy Name is Levy
I play an ES-335 knockoff which weighs something like 20 pounds; it used to strain my back when I used my no-name 2.5 inch nylon strap (I'm not cheap, but I was quite ignorant once upon a time).
I ordered this strap a couple of weeks ago, and playing with it has totally changed my conception of guitar weight. My guitar is now weightless, and the sense of security afforded by pairing this strap with a set of Dunlop Straploks is almost Zen-like. Make no mistake, this strap is worth the price and then some. By the way, you'll need to drill out the holes if you want to use Straploks.
My sales engineer is absolutely wonderful. His professionalism and dedication to helping even little old me have led me to recommend Sweetwater so fervently that I've feared appearing to be a shill. I won't tell you his name, though: I want him to have as much time for me as possible.
Very Nice Strap
I love this strap. It looks great on my Les Paul. It is very comfortable despite the heft of Les Paul.
Price is resonable for what you get.
Top Quality
Levy really knows how to make great looking, comfortable guitar straps!
This Basketweave Tooled Leather Guitar Strap is the finest strap I've ever
owned and worn. Hands Down!
Basketweave Tooled Leather Guitar Strap
This strap is very good in quality and comfort. Sweetwaters excellent customer service and price makes it even better.
Excellent - but (WARNING) shorter than usual
I love Levy straps, and own close to a dozen. Same as the others, this strap is top quality in all facets: materials, tooling, stitching. The only downside is that it's shorter than normal, so if you are tall, or like to wear your bass down at your knees, then this one will not work for you.
I'm average: six feet tall, and wear my bass at belt level. Unfortunately, even with the tailpiece on the lowest rung of the ladder, this strap is just a little too short for comfort for my Precision-style basses. Luckily, I can use it with my single cutaway Martin Keith bass that has a more compact body and different strap button placement.
I was hoping that the problem was with the tailpiece, but when compared with the other Levy ladder straps I own, I discovered that the tailpiece is normal, but the main section of the strap is too short.
So, I'm deducting one star because of the length: I would have preferred to use this wide strap with my heaviest P-bass, but I can't. I still give four stars for quality. Just keep the length in mind if you decide to buy.
