Incredible

By Joe from NJ on October 2, 2015

Incredible. One of the best cabs i've played through, even bests some pricier boutique cabs. What you throw at it is what it will reproduce. I'll have to get a second one soon and stack them vertically. And, of course, Sweetwater's service is second to none.

Great cab

By Shane on April 6, 2015 Music Background: 25 years as a performing noise rock, improv, metal and psych rock bassist

This cab is suprisingly loud; tight, punchy and deep with a real good mid range tone. It is not a growler but is absolutely perfect for dual amping bassists who want to compliment a fuzzed out tone with some house shaking low end that punches through the mix. It would also be good as a stand alone cab for rock, country and funk. You aren't going to get that rich full sound of an ampeg 8x10 or 6x10 but you will get a deeper and punchier sound than those cabs. This cab has more boom than any 4x10, 6x10 or 8x10 I've played and more boom than my road ready mesa 2x15. Only my 1x18 surpasses this cab in boom but the mesa 2x10 blows away my 1x18 in punch and note clarity. This cab will exceed your expectations, it is seriously loud and deep and I wouldn't think anyone would have a problem cutting through the mix with this cab.

Earthquake in a box

By Brian from Fort Wayne, IN on February 9, 2013 Music Background: Part-time God of Thunder

Recently purchased an M6 head and was planning on pairing it with a Mesa 1x15 powerhouse. Decided it was time to take a bigger step forward and also picked up a 2x10. Even without the 1x15 this thing is liquid thunder and crystal clear lightning. Tone is simply amazing. Low end response can get muddy with low end boost with active electronics so had to back it off. Once the 1x15 arrives this will be the best of both worlds. I'm extremely happy that I decided to add the 2x10 and the guys at Sweetwater and Mesa have been extremely helpful.
