Vintage-style, All-wood Snare Drum!

This PDP LTD Classic Wood Hoop Snare isn't your typical snare drum, but it still packs the rugged construction and smart design you'd expect from PDP. Drummers at Sweetwater dig the all-maple design, which offers up impressive crack and snap on top of a rich fundamental. The wooden hoops give this snare drum the warm, dark tone of a vintage field drum. The LTD Classic Wood Hoop Snare also sports the MAG throw off, which lets you drop the snare wires fast without any strainer buzz. Add a unique dimension to your drum kit, with the PDP LTD Classic Wood Hoop Snare drum.

A deep satisfying old school tone

The tune that this thing was shipped in was awful. I had to loosen the bottom head and snares and then after I messed with it for about 20 minutes it's really grew on me. I've aldreasy done some recording and live gigs with it and have gotten lots of compliments. It's a deep dark dry (but not too dry) tone. A very classic sounding snare with a pretty good tuning range. For the money you simply cannot go wrong.
Music background: I'm a full in drummer for my local churches and in a band that is starting off!
