I was worried when I ordered this because some review(s) said it was flimsy. That was not at all the case.

Using it to hold up my VG99. Very well make, works well. Its a stand. Not much to say!

excellent stand

perfect for the octapad, good adjustments, & well built but, heavy. Like the quick disconnect.

A good solid stand

This is a good solid stand. I had used an APC-33 on a really nice Pearl stand before, but the Roland PDS-10 is more rigid and solid. The PDS-10 stand replaced the Pearl stand with APC-33 mounting a Roland SPD-30 Octapad. The reason it gets 4 stars instead of 5 is the fit and finish of it. It is not as nicely made as Pearl, DW, or Tama stands in the little details such as the wing bolts/nuts and clamp bushing areas. The feet on the PDS-10 are kind of cheap feeling and seem to be more of a hard plastic than a rubber. For the price that Roland charges for this stand, it ought to be made a little nicer. But, all things considered, even though it doesn't have the fit and finish of other drum hardware manufacturers, it does it's job well, which is to support a drum pad in a solid fashion with less wiggle than the better quality, more refined, Pearl stand that I had been using with an APC-33 clamp.

It's a great stand but I was disappointed in the height. I needed it to go up higher than it's design for - Rats. Basically useless to me but they didn't provide overall height and I didn't think to ask, so it's just one of those things.
