    Great Bass

This plays just as good as more expensive Fender basses. The maple neck feels great, and the frets are filed very well. It also holds tuning and intonation very well. I found the tone to be a little darker than the standard P-bass, but I like it. Thanks for the Sweetwater team for setting a low action before shipping as well!

WOW! Right out of the box this thing kicks ass. Very solid, great tone, I couldn't be happier. I can't seem to put it down. Perfect bass for punk rock. Add in the excellent customer service from Sweetwater (They have called me and e-mailed several times to make sure I had no questions and to make sure everything was cool, even sent me pics of it before it shipped wich only took 1 day to arrive) and this is definatly the best bass for the $$.

    Great Bass

For the money you can't beat the Matt Freeman Precision Bass. I have many guitars in my collection ranging from Squier's to handmade boutique guitars. I can attest that this bass is a steal at the price. The neck is thick and chunky. Although it is glossy, it is not sticky, very smooth, very fast. The frets are not bad either. A couple sharp ones that will require just a tad of TLC from a good luthier. The sound..... Well, it sounds like a classic P Bass. Nice bottom end and plenty of punch. The other feature that I really like is the nice thick bridge. If your in the market for a P Bass, this one can't be beat for the price! This bass delivers quality tone and feel at a great price!

This is a really nice bass and a smooth player. I didn't give it a higher rating because Sweetwater listed its weight at 8 lbs 3 oz although its actual weight was 8 lbs 8 oz. Providing the weights of instruments is a good idea but loses its value if the weights can't be relied upon to be accurate.
