I absolutely love this bass, it has a good variety of tones, which it seemed like most P basses didn't have when I was trying them out, it has a really nice super bassy sound and a good trebly sound and everything in between, it couldn't sound better with slap bass style, and it just feels good to play. I love the simplicity of two nobs, volume and tone. When I first got this bass(almost a year ago) I took the thumb rest off cause I didn't like it, but I put it back on because when you're performing and jumping around and such it helps to keep your thumb stationary, the pickups are very short where I would normally put my thumb, which isn't a problem for practicing or if you're not moving around a lot on stage, but I'd recommend leaving the thumb rest on. I'd recommend getting new strings like ghs bass boomers, also this bass is pretty heavy and can strain your shoulders if you're on stage for over an hour. All in all this is my favorite bass I've had yet

great vibe and feel from this bass. good sounding bass. fret work on this bass needs some improvement. the MIM team dropped the ball on that aspect. fender should have put a bad ass 2 bass bridge on it as well as better pick ups. i had to do a complete set uup on it after i got it so have tech skills or know one. started to say no and send it back but the vibe and feel brought me around to keeping it. its a bit over priced and doesnt play as well as the aerodyne jazzes but after the set up and a set of fresh flats it rocked. now to have a friend dress the frets and i'm set. it has the feel of a '78 neck to me. love the block inlays.
