Awsome improvement!
Just bought some of these and the guys love them already! Clear crisp and exactly what you need to hear when you need to hear it! Couldnt ask for more!
Almost perfect
I bought this from another retailer simply because they had an open box deal. I love this unit combined with my Ultrasonics custom IEM.
The range is phenomenal. I left them on during a break and headed down to a basement washroom probably 200' away and down stairs. Reception never wavered, I could hear the room through my mic perfectly!
There is only one weak point on these.... they absolutely DESTROY batteries! A fresh pair of duracells won't last a whole night. Worse, there is NO WARNING. When they batteries die your monitors go silent! Very bad deal in mid song!
There should be a warning beep or something to alert when battery is critical. Something that gives you a 5min warning so you can at least make it to end of a song.
I now use rechargeable 2200mah nimh and change the batteries every set just to be sure!
I don't like the idea of Shure's Lion proprietary battery as you can't swap back and forth to normal AA as there's a little piece on the battery bay that you take off for the SHURE battery to fit.
This is a 5 star product if they would reduce the power drain and include an audible low battery warning.
Absolutely Incredible
I had a cheap in-ear system that I bought to make sure I would like in-ears and got used to the controlled sound.. but it dropped out some and always had a bit of background hiss. The first day I received this system and set it up it was night and day... like going from transistor radio to a hi-fi system. Kick drum and bass became warm and round and it was dead quiet. If you have the ability to produce your own mix and the money this is the way to go. It saves your ears and gives you all the sound you need without a chance of feedback.. thanks to Patrick and sweetwater.
