Ozone 7: Your Mixes Will Rock

Note: This upgrade gives owners of previous versions of Ozone the opportunity to purchase Ozone 7 at a special price. Call your Sales Engineer for more information.

To master great-sounding tracks, there are certain things you need to do - like gluing and punching up your mix, optimizing dynamic range, and adding sonic opulence. iZotope Ozone 7 Mastering Suite gives you the tools to ace the job, including the Maximizer, Dynamic EQ, the new Vintage Limiter, Export Formats, and more. Building on the mastering mojo of its acclaimed predecessors, Ozone 7 lets you choose components for a cutting-edge mastering chain, going from vintage to modern - and everywhere in between. An exhaustive preset bank makes it easy to perfect your sound, regardless of genre. Use it standalone or as a plug-in; however you use it, your mixes will rock, with iZotope Ozone 7.

iZotope Ozone 7 Mastering Suite at a Glance:
  • Vintage Limiter: delivers the slam factor
  • Dynamic EQ: unprecedented control over dynamics
  • Upgraded Maximizer: transparent-sounding mixes
  • Export Formats: eliminates formatting hassles
Vintage Limiter: delivers the slam factor

Sweetwater engineers know the value of a killer bus limiter that injects your mixes with the slam factor that demands attention. Glue your mixes together and load 'em with character with the Vintage Limiter's warm, analog-sounding final-stage limiting - all with the effortlessness and precision of digital. Ozone 7's Vintage Limiter imparts a natural feel to harsh-sounding digital masters, providing the luxurious warmth and fatness characteristic of your favorite classic analog recordings.

Dynamic EQ: unprecedented control over dynamics

A Dynamic EQ is a powerful tool that combines the precision of an equalizer with the musical ballistics of a compressor. Dynamic EQ utilizes the concept of a multiband compressor but replaces crossover filters with traditional EQ filter shapes. This gives you unprecedented control over the dynamics of particular frequencies of your mix. Best of all, you can process your audio without any artifacts audible to the listener.

Upgraded Maximizer: transparent-sounding mixes

Ozone 7 boasts an upgraded version of Maximizer, iZotope's legendary mastering limiter. Featuring a new algorithm (IRC IV) that offers you both frequency-specific and multiband operation, Maximizer's focused settings deliver optimal results without limiter overcompensation. The result is even more transparent-sounding mixes with less pumping at higher volumes - perfect for when you need to tame bass drum peaks without causing your vocals to pump.

Export Formats: eliminates formatting hassles

iZotope Ozone 7 lets you specify your preferred file formats for export, choosing from a selection of popular uncompressed and compressed codecs such as MP3, WAV, or AAC. No more outputting to .WAV and then using a separate MP3 converter! Now with Ozone 7, you can export your digital formats directly from your source files and even add metadata before export, such as track, artist, or album name - and more.

iZotope Ozone 7 Mastering Suite Features:
  • Essential mastering and mixing tools in 1 convenient, cost-effective bundle
  • Features include:
    • Vintage Limiter: glue your mixes together and juice 'em with character
    • Dynamic EQ: the precision of an equalizer with the musical ballistics of a compressor

    • Export Formats eliminates formatting hassles
Achieve mastering perfection with Ozone 7!

Great software to have

I've climbed the ladder on Ozone software from 5 to 6 to 7. Each version had a little bit better features than the last, and version 7 is no exception. The basic EQ, multi-band compressor, exciter, stereo imager, post EQ, and dither seem the same as in Ozone 6, so any changes they might have made there were really subtle. That's a good thing, because I liked them in 6. The maximiser effect was good in Ozone 6, and the new features added--vintage limiter and IRC-IV--make it even better. They're great options. One of my favorite new additions to Ozone 7 is the dynamic delay. Also available is exporting in MP3 or AAC format in addition to WAV., which can come in handy, and the many presets always give you a good starting point for your master. If you have an ear for mastering your projects, this is great software to have for the price.

iZotope Ozone 7 Mastering Suite

1Zotope Ozone 7 is the Mastering Suite to go to for your mastering needs. It is very intuitive and easy to understand and to use. Most of all it is very simple. However, I recommend getting the instructional video from Groove3. Although Ozone 6.1 Advanced is being used to illustrate what Ozone is all about I think it is a sufficient beginning to show the magnitude of Ozone 7 Mastering Suite. Get iZotope Ozone 7 Mastering Suite for your mastering need. You will not regret it. It is greate!!!!!

What could be coo

I think it would be cool if ozone could import all the individual tracks in my song made in Presonus Studio, analyze them and mix them all down to a mixed stereo track based on the analysis. Maybe it does, I don't know. Right now I have ozone 4, thinking about upgrading to 7.

Almost Dummy Proof!

It is really good, but I wish they had designed it for the non techie....me! I wish it had prompts along the way to the "great!" Mastered take, and had a box that said next or ready to export Or an obvious place to store that's easy to find. But other than that, it does its job, my recordings DO sound better!

Still getting use to it

I'm still getting to know the software ozone 7 . I have to be honest. Not yet impressed but I like to give things time . But so far I'm not hearing a big difference from the eq or compression plug ins that came with my protocols infact I'm leaning on my protocols plug ins more because the changes in the sound seem a bit more significant I can actually feel the change

Sweetwater Advice

Jonathan Casarow

With years of recording and mixing experience, I've found Izotope Ozone 7 to be an invaluable mixing tool. I particularly like the multi-band stereo imager, the multi-band exciter, and the maximizer (which does a great job at maintaining the stereo width of my mix). I also find myself reaching for some of the vintage modeled plug-ins for single tracks in my sessions, when I'm looking to make broader tonal strokes.
