One of the finest Guild dreadnoughts ever made

The stunning Guild Orpheum Dreadnought is one of Guild's finest efforts. This gorgeous acoustic guitar's Adirondack red spruce top with scalloped red spruce bracing (mated to solid mahogany back and sides with traditional hot hide glue) projects full-bodied tone with a clear and powerful voice. In fact, it's a cannon (very loud but superbly balanced). It's a great choice for tracking in a thick mix, yet it sounds rich and full-bodied on its own. Just aim a small-diaphragm condenser mic at the 12th fret, and you're good to go.

Premium features abound

Guild pulled out all the stops with the Orpheum Dreadnought. This superb acoustic guitar sports premium features such as a 2-piece mahogany neck with a comfortable soft-V profile and a lovely vintage-style nitrocellulose lacquer finish, a 20-fret ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays and an ideal 12" radius, a bone nut, and elegant cream neck and body binding.

The finishing touches

To complete this scintillating 6-string delight, Guild spec'd a tortoiseshell pickguard, a pyramid-style ebony bridge with bone saddle and pins, and Gotoh SE700-05M open-back tuners with cream buttons. Of course, to protect a guitar this glorious, you get a deluxe hardshell case. The Guild Orpheum Dreadnought acoustic guitar is one you really have to play.

Simply Surprisising

First my Sweetwater Guy! Karl Long I first meet him while buying a Gobson AJ and have built a wonderful musical relationship. Karl will play guitars for me he will then play same model different serial number. He has nixed individual guitars and models but the keepers are always great. Now this Guild Orpheum. I had to beg Karl to give them a play, the guitar surprised Karl he knows it is aGibson and Martin World for me. The Orpheum lives and breaths in that world as an equal, so well that I just ordered a D-55. If you want out of the box look at the amazing Custom Shop Guilds, Wow Build Quality, tone fit and finish first rate and great Sound I can go on but you need to play your own and ask for Karl Long!
