Cordoba Fusion Orchestra CE - Spruce Top Reviews

    Very Happy

After some problems with FedEx (not anything you could have helped with) I finally got the guitar. The guitar arrived in perfect condition and though I prefer the look of cedar, the spruce model it is still a beautiful instrument and I much prefer the tone of the spruce. The strings still have some stretching to do but I have got it tuned and have tried it out. I could not be happier with the sound and tone of this guitar. It is exactly what I was looking for. The clear almost bell like tones of the treble are delightful. I currently have a steel string Taylor which I have been attempting to use to get into more classical playing but I could not get the sound I was looking for out of it. I believe this Cordoba will be my go to guitar for some time.

Cordoba Orchestra CE - Spruce Top

The guitar is everything I was expecting. A great sounding easy playing crossover. Due to health issues I was looking for something that was easier to play than my steel string acoustics and it is exactly that. Kenny Stratton was my sales rep and was very helpful in purchasing the Guitar. Sweetwater will have 1st shot at any purchases I make in the future.

    Great Guitar

I'd been interested in this guitar for nearly two years but just couldn't find one in my nearby stores to try out. I didn't know if I wanted go for the more narrow neck width and radiused fingerboard on a nylon string, having owned a few with 2" nuts and flat fingerboards. I finally got the opportunity to compare this guitar alongside a similar Cordoba with the wider nut and flat fingerboard. After spending some good time playing both guitars, the choice was obvious to me...I decided to go with the Fusion Orchestra. It's just so much easier to play, especially for the styles I play (Jazz, Latin, and Fingerstyle). Sweetwater's customer service and 55-point check is second to none and my sales rep, Ryan Schmidt, is great to work with. I'm very happen with this guitar and look forward to many years playing it.

I knocked off half a star because there was some substantial buzz on the bottom four strings. Looks like the saddle is just too low. Nothing I can't shim up.

    Pleasantly Surprised

Have been playing the Orchestra CE for about a month now and find that I'm quite happy with it. The craftsmanship is quite good. The sound is good both unplugged and amplified. The Electronics offer a great deal of flexibility with regard to tone choices. I was also very happy with the Humi-Case that I ordered along with it. The pods seem to be effective and less risky than the typical leaky humidifiers that are designed to mount inside of an instrument.

Cordoba Fusion Orchestra CE May be the last guitar you Buy

Love this guitar, It is noticeably light the first time you pick it up. The finish is Beautiful. I bought the spruce top and love the bright sound. It has a truss rod which might help in adjusting the action because it comes very high. The onboard tuner is convenient and pretty accurate. I love the Fishmen Blend Pickup but find myself playing mostly unplugged and the guitar is plenty loud without being amped. Other than the action being too high the only complaint I have is that the guitar and case are made in China. All in all I love this Guitar

    Very Happy

Excellent for those that want a super playable, great sounding Classical. The radiused and narrower neck does it all. Mine is a traditional 12 fret. Onboard tuner is a nice touch. The guitar is light which is expected on a quality Classical guitar. Thin enhances vibration. Got a Humicase too.

Would have done 5 stars but a couple small build quality issues. First is there is slight visible splintering of the spruce around the sound hole inlay I thing due to dull tools/working too fast. The other is places where bindings meet. Very small gaps here and there. Both issues are purely cosmetic, sealed via the finish and you have to be looking closely to see. I'll know it's my guitar though!

The price was right. Not crazy about China but that's how it goes. Doesn't feel like cheap by any means.

Although this Review is supposed to be for the Guitar, my Rep Sam was superb. Thanks Sam!
