Celestion speakers for big rock tone

Throughout rock history, Celestion speakers have been the choice of countless musicians. The Orange PPC212 cabinet continues that tradition with a duo of 12" Celestion Vintage 30 speakers. The Vintage 30 gives you thick, warm tones with a tight low end. When used with Orange amplifiers, this cabinet exudes a classic British vibe and powerful, focused guitar tone that your audience will feel.

Built like a tank

Rock 'n' roll is a high-impact sport - especially for a speaker cab pushing 100-plus watts all night long. The better built a speaker cabinet is, the more it can handle. High-density 13-ply birch plywood and rugged construction and manufacturing techniques give the PPC212 superior stability. Designed with Orange guitar amplifiers in mind, the Orange PPC212 2 x 12" cabinet is ready to take any punishment you deal out.

Not so orange

This version of the Orange PPC212 2 x 12" cabinet isn't quite as orange as some others. By popular request this cabinet features black Tolex covering. If you like a more traditional look, this is the cab for you. Or better yet, mix and match your cabs for a cool orange and black look. Nothing has changed but the covering on this model of the Orange PPC212.

V-30's and sick construction

Don't let the inexpierienced fool you. The fact that the speakers come from china means that they come from on China. It's the same speaker made in case USA, just in China. I've got a PRE-ESP-and A JACKSON RHOADS pro. The rr was made Indonesia and it F-ing murders many American made guitars. Same with Celestion. I used to get sucked into that BS that stuff over seas is low quality, but in all actuality a lot of that is psychosomatic. If you think something sounds bad or its lower quality, than it probably does and is, is you love the product and then discover where it came from and hate it then, that's proof . They are sick cabs or else orange wouldn't put their name on the front of it.

The Best 2x12

I owned this Orange closed back 2x12 previously and knew exactly how it reacted. I used to play in a pop rock band and needed something punchy for rhythm playing. If you're looking for really thick and punchy low ends, look no further. This cab is constructed well and will bring you many years of versitile playing. You can also dial in some really lovely crisp clean tones with the provided vintage speakers.

Orange Sweetness

I bought this cab as an extension for my Peavey 6505+ 112 combo and I absolutely love it. This is the nicest cab I have ever used. It has a ton of low end and is very punchy and smooth. Before this I had a Peavey 5150 4x12 and this cab is better in every way. It actually has more low end than my 4x12 and overall it sounds much bigger and beefier. I will say that the cab is voiced very dark. That's not really a good thing or a bad thing but it is noticeably darker than the Sheffield speaker in my combo. But it is also more smooth and warm than my combo. It is a very well built, high quality cab, that's sounds amazing, and in the end the sound is all that matters. I have looked over my cab several times with a flashlight and can't find a single flaw. I did a ton of research before buying this cab and a lot of people say the Celestion Vintage 30's sound bad until they are broken-in but I thought it sounded great straight out of the box. I have about 10 hours on it so it might get better with time but either way it doesn't matter to me because I love it how it is. One final note. This blends very well with the Peavey 6505 combo. The Peavey is pretty bright with a lot of highs and mids. It's also a tiny bit harsh and fizzy. The Orange is just the opposite, dark and smooth. Together I get that big heavy low end from the cab and the aggressive mids and highs from the Peavey. They perfectly compliment each other and give a huge almost 3D type of sound. Overall, I really couldn't be happier with this cab.

Disappointed

I purchased this cab a few years back- and it has served me well. Its a versatile cab it does pair decently well with my Mesa Boogie Roadster. However my disappointment came- in preparation of doing a 2x12 shoot out between this and the Mesa 2x12 on YouTube. Only to find out that the Celestion V30's that are in this Orange 2x12 are...... wait for it.... Made in CHINA. I never thought in a million years that Orange would charge what it does for this cab and loads it with Chinese V30's. Maybe Im over re-acting- but this is a huge let down. So if you don't mind a Orange cab that prints proudly- "Designed in England, Made in the USA" only to find Chinese speakers in it - then by all means Im sure it will serve you well. Absolutely disappointed in Orange for this.
