    It works!

Was initially skeptical, but figured I would give it a try on my Alvarez Artist concert size cutaway. The O-Port did noticably improve the sound, giving it significantly increased projection and fullness of tone. This was an excellent guitar to start with and the O-Port made it even better. No longer skeptical. Well-spent money.

    Great Product

Does what it is made to do. This O-Port will enhance your guitar and push the volume up so much I'm able to use it in a small church setting with no amp.

    Update to

Just changed the strings on the Taylor 316 and just to really compare I took the o-port out. Wow. I couldnt get the o-port back in fast enough. The volume was close to cut in half without it and all the warm tones were gone. I wont take it out again...this little guy really does provide a huge improvement in volume, warmth/bass and clarity. Im ordering another
for my 12 string and another as a gift to my Dad.

    Better than Advertized

I recently added a Seagull 20th Anniversary Cedar to my guitar collection. I have an old Cedar S6 and expected similar sound quality and projection from the 20th Anniversary model, but probably due to the sides and back being maple instead of the original wild cherry, the newer one was muddy on the bass strings, and lacked projection. The O-Port vastly improved the sound quality of the "20th" model.

One of my other guitars has similar problems (also Seagull, an "Artist" Cutaway with maple top and rosewood back and sides). I am going to order another O-Port for it. Great product!

    wow it works!

i recently purchased an inexpensive exotic wood beautiful but less than great sounding acoustic guitar. i immediately purchased and installed ebony string/saddle pegs which helped but I was still not satisfied with the thin sound of the guitar. i installed this little wonder and noticed an instant improvement. It made my guitar sound fuller and slightly louder, more balanced in the low-midrange frequencies just as described in this items promotional literature. i'm very pleased with this product. good job Planet Waves!

So I read as many reviews as I could find and they were all over the place. The overall theme is the cheaper the guitar the more this device works...the more expensive the guitar is the less the benefits are...and I agree. I put this in a brand new Taylor 316ce. Because of the preamp electronics I had to cut a small V out of the cone to get it to fit. Installation was a breeze and didnt hurt the finish at all (I was also very careful). I am hearing a greater volume and a bit more sustain during single note leads, especially on the B and high E strings. It also toned down some of the over brightness associated with newer guitars. Bass was only slightly, very slightly increased. It truly does depend on the wood and body style. Am I going to leave it in? Sure. Does my guitar sound like a 914 now? No, but that doesnt mean I threw $20 bucks away.
