Great little cable
worked like a charm.
Careful if your jacks are too close together
The actual outer diameter "barrels" of these cables are very thick compared to "normal" fiber optic cables. They would not fit next to each other on my Apogee Ensemble Thunderbolt interface (I needed to connect 4 side-by-side), so I will have to return them.
Assuming your jacks are not too close together on your equipment for these to fit, I'm sure they would work great.
Audio Drops Too Often When Playing Video Games
I used this cable to connect my JBL Bar 5.0 to my 32-inch Samsung Q50R Smart TV. I wanted to love it, but as I was enjoying Nintendo Switch games in 4K, the cable couldn't block RF interference. Alas, the audio wasn't consistent and kept dropping. It was a total nightmare.
Then I remembered I had this 24-karat Gold-Plated SyncWire TOSLINK Cable from Amazon that I bought with a gift card back in the day. I decided to remove this cable and hook that one up to give it a try. Needless to say, the audio no longer drops.
So lesson learned, a TOSLINK cable will always have data transmission delays, but if you buy the right cable, it will be a reliable partner for your audio setup. Sadly, the Host TOSLINK Pro wasn't the solution to the problem. It just made it worse.
