A Smorgasbord of Classic Tube Tone

If you're a fan of a particular manufacturer's classic '50s and '60s tube combos, then you'll dig the Bogner New Yorker. The New Yorker serves up several distinct amp flavors. In typical Bogner fashion, meticulous attention has been lavished on circuit purity, but the key to the New Yorker's versatility is the aptly named Schizo Control, with its four positions giving you everything from crisp Blackface clean to loosey-goosey tweed crunch - with a few stops in between. Whether you play humbuckers or single-coils (or both), you'll find the New Yorker agreeably touch dynamic - it cleans up nicely with a soft touch on your strings, so you can set the amp reasonably dirty and work your guitar. With its range of classic tone and impressive responsiveness, the Bogner New Yorker is one savory little amp.

A modern take on the 5e3/Tweed

I have the New Yorker head version. I use it with a Goldfinger 2X12 cab. I love it. I think of it as a refined tweed. It sounds lovely. It has a power section that allows you to switch between 12 and 6 watts (and even in a 5 piece rock band, mine always stays on the lower power setting - 6 watts). There is a "Schizo" knob that gives you different voicings. The first is a nice blackface tone. It's clean, glassy and bell-like with scooped mids. Setting 2 and 3 are blends of blackface and tweed - very usable with a little more mid and some high end rolled off. Setting 4 is a modern take on the tweed deluxe. I use this setting mostly. IMO is solves some of the problems associated with tweed low end speaker farting. Plus the New Yorker is incredible articulate. You can hear all the strings. It's also extremely touch sensitive. You control the amt. of breakup with your right hand or volume knob.
