This is a super organic sounding envelope pedal. If you want something to replace a wah wah, I would look elsewhere. The Boss auto-wah is great for that. If you want funky 70's guitar tone, or that Jerry Garcia lead thing, this is your pedal. Like all of Keeley's stuff, the quality is top notch, and it comes through in the tone. Take time to learn how to integrate it into your rig, and you will really love this thing.

For me it's awesome, I always wanted a auto filter that WASNT Suttle. This is also an extremely versitile filter and super easy to use in the size of an mxr pedal. Also you don't need a fancy power supply to make it work. It responds to your volume knob on your guitar a lot. Actually so much so that if you hit a chord/note than roll your volume knob up and down before the note decays you can trigger the filter and make it "wah wah" exactly like a tradition wah wah pedal would do.

    take me to funky town!

This is one of those pedals you'll probably never need, but will always want. You can get some real funky sounds out of it. There's a video on youtube with a guy playing a strat 90% of the video, and it sold me immediately. I don't like having to sweep my foot to use a normal wah, and they take up a lot of space on a board. I wanted something to eliminate that but still have a wah. This does that for the most part, but it's tricky getting certain tones out of it. Great pedal, but it takes time to learn. At the end of the day, I'm glad I got it.

    Just OK Wah

I bought this pedal based on Mike Hermans excellent demo on YouTube! The initial Wah sound he attained was great. However, the Neutrino doesn't sound like that for me. This pedal is one-dimensional, with a lot of unusable settings. What I wanted was a touch Wah. This is an envelope filter. Obviously, they are related. But the Wah factor is not present, enough, for me. In all fairness, I need to work with the Neutrino to achieve the Wah sound I want!

    Pretty good

With the low pass, lo switch and a low peak setting, I was going for a Jerry Mu-Tron tone. It doesn't produce the effect for a couple seconds after turning it on, it's got a much lower wet/dry mix and it doesn't trigger everywhere on the neck. It gets much more pronounced the higher you set it tone wise. If you're going for Jerry, I'd look elsewhere. If you're going for a quacky, funk tone, go for it.

Never could get a good sound

I used a EHX Micro Q-Tron for years and thought I'd "upgrade" to this pedal. I never could get a good tone from it. Always sounded muffled and lack luster or the opposite spikey and trebly. Finally sold it and went back to the Q-Tron - not sure what all the fuss is about with this one. ???
