Check Out NYXL Strings!

Hard on electric guitar strings? Sweetwater guitarists are excited about D'Addario NYXL strings because they sound great, bend farther, and stay in tune better - even after a couple of sweaty gigs - than just about anything else we've played. D'Addario uses a high carbon steel core with a unique "fusion twist" process for the plain strings. NYXL's reformulated nickel plated string windings have increased magnetic properties that give you higher output and juiced midrange for greater presence and crunch. If you're dissatisfied with your electric guitar strings, give D'Addario NYXL strings an audition. You'll be impressed.

D'Addario NYXL1252W electric strings feature a wound 3rd/G-string, providing you with more tension for drop tuning or a traditional "jazz" setup.

D'Addario - Making strings for over 300 years

Behind every set of D'Addario strings are over three centuries of fine craftsmanship. The D'Addario family tradition began in the tiny town of Salle, Italy in 1680 where they made assorted instrument strings for over two hundred years before relocating to New York in 1905. As the modern string making industry began to develop, the D'Addario family emerged as innovators by designing the winding machine most string makers still use today. And while their techniques have modernized, the pride that goes into each set of strings dates back to the D'Addario family's earliest roots.

Lead Guitarist

I play lead guitar three times a week a minimum of 60 minutes each, and I am awed at the performance, endurance, and quality of sound I get with the NYXL 12/52. I have used D'Addario strings for over 10 years, but am super pleased with these strings. Finger picking slow songs to fast straight picking Bluegrass makes no difference, They're great!

D'Addario NYXL1252W Electric Strings .012-.052 Nickel Wound, Light Wound 3rd

So I've been told and been told and been told how great these strings are, and they're worth the extra money. I'm a very percussive player (play drums too) and enjoy jamming rhythms out. I typically us the heaver gage strings as a result. FINALLY I was convinced by a buddy of mine who showed me how much abuse they can take and bot some. They're TERRIFIC. Better tone, and they can most certainly take some abuse and last longer for me. Most definitely worth the money.
