Nektar NP-2

I bought this pedal based on the many good reviews about it. Just received it today and I'm Very impressed. Good build. Excellent price. Works very smoothly and on time. Breathes new life into my old Casio CTK-800.

Best and least expensive I've ever used!

In my 40 years of playing keyboards semi-pro, I've owned sustain pedals by Roland, Yamaha, Kurzweil, Korg, pretty much all of the big players. In comparison to those others, I was impressed enough by a simple foot pedal to write a review. It's just a foot pedal so "impressive" was not what I was expecting. This one is so heavy, at first I seriously thought they had packed 2 in the box. As far as build quality, I was confident enough to stand with my full 200 lbs on the plastic top, just so I could point that out in this review. Not mentioned in their ads is the opaque plastic removable pedal cover, which is a nice touch. For gigging I want the cover on but if it was for a home digital piano, just the chrome would look good. The only debatable issue is light weight of the cord but I've never seen one any heavier and sometimes it's nice to have the flexibility of a light cord. For gigging, I usually remove the cord anyway and add a jack so I can use my own cord. That way, I can have a custom length and I can easily replace it if the cord/plug goes bad at a gig. That voids the warranty but no big deal here since it costs about the same to replace this pedal as it does to send it back in.

Non Slip!

Great pedal for the money, and this pedal does not slip on hard/slick surfaces!

Great Pedal

This pedal works great, has a killer price and is built solid. Works great with my Casio Privia, Novation Impulse 61 and Alesis VX49.

Exceptional build quality for the price.

Great purchase. Haven't tried it with other brands yet but it works flawlessly with the Panorama series products I own. Seems to be constructed out of quality materials, which is impressive given the manufacturer has only been around for less than a decade. A must have if you own any Nektar products.
