Outstanding Nylon-string Tone

The Yamaha NCX700C acoustic-electric is a fantastic way to explore the evocative tones of nylon-string guitar. Classical guitarists at Sweetwater like Yamaha's NCX series because their neck shape is identical to a traditional classical guitar, with a 12th-fret neck joint that helps enhance the richness of your tone. Every nuance of your playing will come through, whether you play classical, flamenco, or other nylon-string styles. Best of all, the built-in A.R.T. pickup/preamp system means you're always ready to perform with the Yamaha NCX700C.

Ready to perform with high quality electronics

The Yamaha NCX700C nylon-string acoustic-electric guitar is fitted with their A.R.T. 2-way pickup/preamplifier system, so you can take to the stage whenever the opportunity presents itself. You'll enjoy rich, natural nylon-string amplified sound - without pesky feedback concerns. The built-in tuner helps you always sound your best, while the 3-band EQ lets you fine-tune your tone for any situation.

Exceptionally rich tone from the 12th-fret neck joint

Many guitarists agree that there's an extra bit of tonal magic from guitars with 12th-fret neck joints. That's because the 12th fret is where you'll find your first-order harmonics, and those are transferred throughout your guitar better when the neck meets the body there.

Solid cedar top will sound even better as it ages

Cedar is a choice tonewood for nylon-string guitars, giving you a rich and detailed tone that's never too bright or harsh. And because the Yamaha NCX700C boasts a solid cedar top that will become harmonically richer as it ages, it will sound even better as the years go by.

Yamaha NCX700C Acoustic-electric Nylon-string Guitar Features:
  • Amazingly comfortable 12th-fret cutaway body design
  • Ready to gig, with onboard electronics and built-in tuners
  • Tone will become harmonically richer as it ages, thanks to the solid cedar top
  • Neck is identical to traditional classical guitars
  • Fine-tune your plugged-in tone with the 3-band EQ
The Yamaha NCX700C is an outstanding classical nylon-string guitar!

Great guitar from Yamaha FANTASTIC service from Sweetwater

Let me start with a little about Myself, I have been playing guitar for 40 years have bought and sold hundreds of guitars in my life. I have at one time or another owned the "Holy grails" of guitar. Vintage Strats as well as Les Pauls. I have traveled the road playing gigs all over, I have advised on Television shows for vintage guitars. At this time I have 80 electrics and 14 acoustics ranging from 10k down to 400 bucks. So I know a little bit about the guitar and its history. That being said, Sometime in this crazy guitar world. Good is just good no matter the cost. I ordered this little Chinese made guitar and was blown away with the quality. The fit and finish. Now is this a guitar capable of a huge concert hall ? I don't know, It depends on the skill of the player. A good player can play anything. But the one thing I will tell you is it works fantastic on any normal venue you would play. This thing plays fantastic better then my Chet Atkins that's for sure. Some time the most expensive and sought after are not the best players. As far as sweet water my sales pro is Dan Overstreet, He is fantastic and took very good care with my request. My guitar arrived safe and MINT. The action was set up just as I requested right from the start. All I had to do is tune it up and play. Do not ever let the fact where a guitar is built effect you decisions. I have old guitars, that their overseas counterpart plays just as well if not sometimes better. Well that's all I have. Great job Dan and the sweetwater guitar techs. Good job Yamaha. Thank you!!! Oh and I will be back for more great gear.

Wonderful warmth from Yamaha!

This 6 string A/E Classical is one of the best classical guitars I have ever played. For the price it easily can grab your attention away from $1000 guitars that do not play or sound as good. The looks are stunning! Yamaha absolutely knows how to make a classical guitar. Once again Aric Brenner was awesome with support and personalized service. Sweetwater has grown to become the place where I feel I am dealing with someone that gets it. I appreciate that!
