Here's What Your Pedalboard is Missing!

The Mosquite Blender by One Control is one of those handy utility pedals you'd think would be everywhere by now. The concept behind the Mosquite Blender is pretty basic, you have a single send/return effects loop plus a wet/dry mix control that lets you balance as much affected signal back into your original guitar tone as you like. It's a great way to blend clean dynamics in with your old-school fuzz pedals. Finally, there's a real BJF designed buffer onboard, which you can bypass to run the One Control Mosquite Blender in true-bypass mode.

One Control Mosquite Blender Wet/Dry Effects Loop Pedal Features:
  • An extremely convenient way to add a wet/dry control to any guitar pedal or effects loop
  • Variable wet/dry knob lets you control how much of your effects are mixed into your dry guitar tone
  • Switchable BJF buffer/true-bypass modes provide two great ways to preserve your tone
  • Tiny form factor makes this an exceptionally pedalboard-friendly tool
If you're ready to get creative with your guitar tone, then a One Control Mosquite Blender is perfect for you!

The wet/dry control is brilliant!

Effects loop pedals are extremley usefull. But adding a wet/dry control is genius and something that would not have occurred to me. Just one of the uses of the wet/dry control is getting the right balance of volume between clean and lead. By turning the knob toward dry while engaged, with you're pedals used for your lead sound hooked into the loop, you get the right balance of volume while preserving the response and tone of the pedal chian hooked into the loop. So say you're pedals optimal settings for you're lead work always seem to loud. You just turn the dial a little bit toward dry and whalla perfect balance with the proper tone and response from the looped effects. Also I'm a huge fan of putting an eq pedal before and after a distortion pedal in the loop then to an "amp in a box" after the loop pedal. This gives you complete control over your lead sound in the loop to click in or out of while the "amp in a box pedal" can be on for clean and dirty for amp like warmth without tons of gear to drag around like attenuators, etc. The eq before dist./ fuzz Creates the voicing and response like a mid boost and the eq after dist. Can help the final balance like a mid scoop or bass boost. The loop pedal makes it easy to find the right balance with less sacrifices and drawbacks. The only thing better in a single loop pedal is the ONE CONTROL mesquite blender expression with the option of using an expression pedal for the wet/dry mix. But that one is bigger which is why I got this one.

Perfect Solution for My Pedalboard

I needed a way to be able to use my Zoom MS100BT od MS70CDR on my pedalboard. The Mosquite Blender allows me to completely bypass the zoom pedal while I search/select patches, and then bring it in when I need it. The mix knob lets me blend in as much or as little of the zoom that I want. Great buffer, too. I highly recommend the Mosquite Blender to Zoom MS users. It's the perfect companion.

Works as expected

Purchased to mediate attack loss on a couple of very noisy/high-gain fuzz and distortion pedals. It does the job very well, nearly silently, and is very well made, with accessible switching for buffer/bypass modes.
