Boompole for DSLR

I shoot short interviews for social media postings and website content. The Rode Mini-Boompole is perfect for quick DSLR shots because it allows you to internally route an 1/8 inch audio directly to the camera without a mixer. Thick XLR cable can be used, but may need to go external - they include Velcro straps. You should also order (BPMBMBF-25) 25' Headphone Extension Cable, Balanced, 1/8" Male to 1/8" Female if you want to be able to use a DSLR mic that has the 1/8 inch cable. Keep in mind that your mic will need to fit the threading of the pole or fit in a shock-mount that fits the threading. Adapters to mount a hot-shoe mic to the end of this pole are hard to find. I am still looking. Pro's - you will want to stick to an $800 K-Tec. I can't think that you would hate having this in your truck, but I don't want to give anyone the impression that I think this is a replacement for a pro pole.
Music background: I am a camera guy, not a musician.
