I recorded a rehearsal with my duo in an intimate, very acoustically neutral space (an enclosed porch). Just the two of us sitting at a table with the iphone4/mikey oriented between. Stunning. A release worthy recording. Uncolored, lovely balance between guitar, vocal, and room ambience. Warning; the mic is very sensitive and goes very deep; foot thumping is clearly audible (not necessarily a bad thing) through table; good idea to set on something vibration absorbing. The bass response is crazy good.

    Mikey Digital Rocks!

I love this guy! Hey Mikey! Just got it yesterday, and it's already my favorite piece of gear. I plugged it into my iPad with the Auria app (48 track studio) and started recording in seconds. Crystal clear audio and super easy to use. I'm takin' him on the road!

Using Mikey with my iPhone 4S.

Bought this microphone so I could get better quality recordings of my live performance. It works perfectly. Also I am amazed at how well it records the lower freq's. It replicates the kick drum and bass guitar very well. I've only used the automatic setting so far, and have used in a high SPL environment as well as a acoustic one. Both worked great. I highly recommend this to anyone using it with an iphone.

Can also be used for guitar input

Little advertised fact - you can use the Mikey Digital as a guitar input for amp and effect simulations like Amplitube and the amp sims in iOS Garageband. This makes it a great little audio input device for doing field songwriting, besides the use of the stereo microphones. While it does have a bit of auto-level control, it works a bit like a compressor on the input signal - not always a bad thing. I haven't even used the mics yet. Main concern is the somewhat wonky connection to the multi-pin connector.

    Blue Microphones Mikey Digital

This is a very effective tool. The only thing missing is wind protection for outdoor use.

sound is very good but build quality is only fair

Recorded acoustic singer songwriter in spur of the moment performance. Sound was great. no denying it. Problem is my Mikey Digital is wobbly. The pivot hinge is not built well. it is supposed to click into notches for differing angles of position, It does so but falls out of position. Its pretty disappointing to be honest.
