Not so great for Hearback System

So let me be clear at the beginning, there's not really anything wrong with this product. I bought eight of these for the purpose of holding Hearback mixers, and I will say that the quality was consistently high, they stay where they're put (I tried them on both mic stands and music stands) and they work as advertised. If you were looking for a way to mount another mic or a pop filter, I'm sure they would be great. However, there's a bit of a problem if you're planning to mount a Hearback mixer. The last 1/16" or 3/32" of the screw isn't threaded. This is deliberate so that you still turn a mic clip to face any angle you please. The problem with a hearback mixer is that threaded hole on the hearback mixer isn't deep enough to fully accommodate this screw, which means that even when you have the mounting screw on the extension attachment tightened completely, the hearback mixer wobbles all around, and can actually spin 360 degrees on the MY550 Mic Extension Bar. You can imagine what happens when you plug headphones in... the mixers turn like a weather vane as they're pulled side to side. This makes noise. Lots of it. Usually, when you're using a hearback system, you want it really quiet in the room. I've discovered that adding a mic stand nut between the screw and the body of the bar makes it work o.k., but it's still not the way you'd expect it to work. (Not to mention the extra cost of mic stand nuts... have you ever looked those things up? They're not cheap!!) Clearly, whoever said that this was a good choice for hearback mixers didn't actually try this product with a hearback mixer, or they changed the specifications after it was tried (possible since the knob on the threaded screw on my units are different from the one pictured). I guess buying one of these and a mic stand nut is still cheaper than buying another mic stand for mounting a hearback mixer, but I wish I'd know this before I bought them. I might have thought about another option.
