Result of 25 years of R&D
Resulting from over 25 years of collective R&D, the newly redesigned and re-voiced Matrix Infinity undersaddle pickup offers exceptional musicality, superb balance from string to string, absolute accuracy and ease of installation. Starting with the popular Acoustic Matrix pickup as a point of departure, the Matrix Infinity now includes a new active, endpin-mounted preamp for the most sophisticated level of sound quality and responsiveness to the player's touch.

Exceptional sound and versatility
Key to the evolved design of the new Matrix Infinity are soundhole mounted rotary Volume and Tone controls that now allow the player to make a variety of easily accessible dynamic and tonal adjustments. The Tone control cuts mids while boosting the bass and treble response to enhance the tonal characteristic and impact of any amplified acoustic guitar, from classical nylon string instruments to Dreadnought and Jumbo acoustic models. Taking the pickup's tonal variation capability one step further, the Matrix Infinity also incorporates a switchable voicing feature to accommodate all guitar body sizes and different performance situations in one pickup.

Two models available
Exceptionally roadworthy, the Matrix Infinity is available in two saddle slot widths - a wide 1/8" format or narrow 3/32" format - the Matrix Infinity has a standard overall length of 2.65" that will fit most guitars with string spacing of up to 2.5". The Matrix Infinity requires a 9V battery (not included) and professional installation is recommended.

Great pickup

The Matrix Infinity is an excellent pickup, I installed it in a used Yamaha 300 series 12 string and that combination sounds fabulous. Better then I could have imagined.

Fisherman Matrix Infinity Just Incredible

Simply put, I was searching for the very best way to amplify my new Ibanez Atwood 400 Series Grand Acoustic Guitar. It features a size, shape and playability that provides an amazing tone for a value-priced, stunning instrument. With its violin, vintage gloss brown burst finish, this guitar is jus unplugged. I wanted that same tone when playing it plugged and was seeking to a proven performer to best amplify it. I've owned Matrix Infinity pickups before and had one that sounded just great in a previous Martin 000-15M that I once owned. Man, am I ever glad that I went with this Fishman pickup again. It just pairs up so beautifully in reproducing the tone of this guitar s incredibly well when amplified. I also like the way it sounds running it though my BodyRes pedal. Very warm, crisp sound and easily adjustable with built-in volume and tone controls.

Great pick up

Awesome sound, could not believe the way it brought the acoustic sound up to brilliant

This is a great one

In the past 35 years, I've owned a dozen different guitars and in all but one I installed a pickup (it came from the factory with one). So I've used under-saddle and bridge-plated mounted piezo pickups from just about everyone from a first generation deArmond piezo to Barcus-Berry, Mighty Mite, Dean Markley. Of course those were in the days before you could easily install an internal pre-amp with the pickup so they were all passive and the results always left something to be desired in terms of sound. That is not the case with this one. Having a bass boost switch and a tone control (which acts more as a contour EQ with the minimum setting being a flat response while turning it up reduces the mid-range while boosting lows and highs). This is installed in a Breedlove AD20SR Plus and I think it's a match made in heaven.
